Hello and Welcome to The Ton’s 2016 Fall Release Day 1 !
If you follow us on Instagram or on Facebook, you may already know that we have 23 new stamps (18 clear stamps, 5 rubber cling stamps), 14 dies and 5 Couture Mixes to introduce you during this Fall Release week!
I am so thrilled to be a part of this release!!! Be sure to stop by The Ton blog to be inspired by the gorgeous projects of our DT members and don’t forget to leave some love to get the chance to win one of our awesome Release giveaways (details below)!
We have 7 new clear stamps to introduce you today! Fresh Cut Garden Roses, Coordinating Outlines: Fresh Cut Garden Roses, Scripty Greetings, Scripty Holiday Greetings, Thankful Cornucopia, Dog Life and Christmas Poinsettia mini (incentive stamp). Today’s Couture Mix is the Candy Cane Garden.
Now to three cards of mine for the DAY 1 !!!
My first card is featuring the Thankful Cornucopia stamp set, which has a big image of a beautifully arranged horn of plenty. To start off I blended our Lemon Drop and Soft Garden Dye ink on the lower half of a A2 sized white cardstock, carefully placed so that it can surround the cornucopia. I then stamped the image in Spiced Chai and colored it with Polychromos Pencils. I added clear glaze on the pumpkins and apples for some shine. After finishing coloring I stamped the Thankful Cornucopia again with an embossing ink and clear heat embossed it. The banner and the sentiment is also from the same set. I gold heat embossed the banner and stamped the sentiment in our Noir Dye ink.
The banner was mounted using some foam adhesive. To finish off I added some sequins from Cinderella’s Ride and Flamenco Sunset couture Mix.
For my second card I used a layered branch from the Fresh Cut Garden Roses stamp set and the small rose from the Scripty Greetings stamp set. I started off by drawing a circle on a kraft card base as my guide line for my wreath. I then stamped the rose five times along the circle using our Hampton white pigment ink. After the roses were masked, I stamped the solid branch in the same Hampton white pigment ink. I then let them dry for a few hours and started again stamping the same images slightly offset in colors ( roses in Soft Garnet, branches in Bright Emerald and then the second layer in Hot Tourmaline). I didn’t use the layer stamp for the roses, as the offset stamping already shows the same effect!
The sentiment is from the Scripty Greetings stamp set. I stamped it first in Hampton white pigment ink and then heat embossed it again offset using our Rose Gold Embossing powder. The scattered sequins are from the Garden at Dusk Couture Mix.
Here is it with another version of the design. I couldn’t say which one I like more :).
The third and the last card for today shows the Coordinating Outlines: Fresh Cut Garden Roses. To make this rose bouquet I started off by making a randomly colored watercoler paper panel using Brushos (for roses: Violet, White and Brilliant red/ for leaves: Sea green and Leaf green). I then stamped the outlines of the roses using our Plum wine, Grand Fuchsia Dye ink and the leaves and branches using Bright Fern Dye ink and fussy cut all the elements. But you don’t need to fussy cut, as the coordinating dies will be available on Sep.26. Next I prepared the card base by blending Lemon Drop Dye ink on bottom left and cut a frame out from some woodgrain textured cardstock with a cutting machine. After foam mounting the frame on the card base I arranged the rose bouquet as shown in the picture and added a small yellow bow. The finishing touch was the sequins from our Glass Slippers sequins and Flamenco Sunset Couture Mix.
The sentiment is from Scripty Greetings stamp set which I stamped in Noir Dye ink on a piece of vellum and cut out.
