Hello everyone!
It’s Seize the Birthday Thursday again! For the next fortnight Colleen chose “Make it a Bouquet” as the Topping! As always you may enter any birthday themed project, if you don’t want to take the toppings option.
I watercolored a beautiful bouquet in a vase. This cling stamp by Penny Black is called Companions (40-769).
I stamped the image on a Bristol Smooth paper panel in Antique Linen DI and Picked Raspberry (flowers). Then I watercolored them. I think these flowers are ranunculus as they have the round petals in many layers. So lovely but tricky to color 🙂 .
Two left flowers are colored in Quinacridone Pink (Daniel Smith), the next flower (third from the left) and two buds in Quinacridone Magenta (Daniel Smith) and the top right flower in Permanent Carmine (Schmincke). I’m so happy that I had the time to watercolor these flowers.
The sentiment is from Better with Age (30-822) set by Penny Black. I stamped it in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. I mounted the panel on a cream cardbase without any embellishment for a CAS look !

And don’t forget to play along!
Thank you for looking !

You always astonish me with your colouring – and this is no exception. Love the colours you used, and the effect the water-colouring has created – I’m glad you had time to colour these too. xx
Awesome coloring, TaeEun! A beautiful card!
Your ranunculus are gorgeous! Your watercolouring is so delicate and detailed. Beautiful bouquet!
I am always amazed at your beautiful coloring. This bouquet in the vast is so pretty and delicate looking.
Oh My! This is just too artistic and drop-dead gorgeous! Yes, tricky to color, but you did an outstanding job here. It should be framed and on a wall of prominance.
I couldn’t agree more with Barb’s comment. I would frame this card as it is absolutely gorgeous! I hope you don’t tire of all the drooling and commenting on your fabulous work!
Beautiful colouring and composition TaeEun,, your watercolouring is stunning! The vase looks so realistic, Cathy x
I agree, TaeEun – the flowers are just spectacular, but I would be a little lost on how to color them as well. And I get impatient, so I don’t think I would have lasted with this lot!! But you, my friend, have delivered, and rocked! What a gorgeous card! Wish I had your patience!!
TaeEun, this is just so magnificent…love love love your coloring and your sentiment is so perfect for this bouquet and for a special person!
TaeEun, I came to check out the Seize the Birthday challenge to see if there was still time to play and I was just blown away by your amazing card, it’s just stunning.
The image looked familiar to me since I have a couple of sets that have these types of flowers and I always shy away from them because they look intricate to color but, you just inspired me to give this a try so I hope I can finish a card to play along with you guys.
Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing your fabulous talent with us.
Stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.
