Hello and Welcome!
Lately I had the honour to make the top at Time Out #48 where we might CASE very talented Marika’s card. And I’ve got a chance to guest design at very special Challenge of the Time Out challenge blog.
The ladies at Time Out want for us to make something about spring to celebrate this :).
I made two one layer cards to welcome spring.
My first card was made without the optional twist.
The flower bouquet is from Sweet Posies stamp by JustRite. Before I stamped the image slightly offset I blended Salty Ocean DI on the card base where I wanted to place the bouquet. The image was stamped in blue and colored using Copic markers and Prismacolor colored pencils. I added on the stamen some little dots using Pico Embellisher and coated the flowers with clear Wink of Stella. The sentiment from Penny Black was stamped with Grape Juice Ink. I then blended the right upper corner in green and yellow using Distress inks. The butterfly was punched out from a scrap CS which I sponged in green and yellow. For final touch I added some clear sequins along with some in spring colors.
For the second card I used the masking technique.
To start off I stamped the same sentiment as on the first card in purple. I then placed a butterfly above the sentiment. This beautiful butterfly is from a mini stamp set by Technique Tuesday. I stamped it in purple, colored using Prismacolor pencils, stamped again with embossing ink and clear heat embossed it.
For the window scene, I masked off the window, clouds and the butterfly and blended Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron Distress inks. The dots made using Wedding Dress Pico Embellischer represent some spring flowers :). I added some clear sequins to finish off my card.
I hope you could get some inspiration from my cards and join in the fun at Time Out. Please hop over there and let the awesome DT ladies inspire you!
