I made three cards to showcase some of the new goodies!

The first one is featuring the Peony Print Stencil set and the coordinating die. This stencil set (6″ x 6″) is out of seven stencils including a stencil for the background. I didn’t use the background stencil for my card, instead I die cut the stenciled image and added it to a dark cardbase.

I started by stenciling the Peony Print. I used the new ink colors from the previous release. I stenciled the large flowers in pink and violet using Whisper Pink, Bubblegum, Dolled Up, Soft Orchid and Orchid Crush. The leaves were stenciled in Meadow and Spring Salad and the small flowers in Arctic Sky and Periwinkle. After that I die cut the Peony print using the coordinating die.

For an ombre effect in the background I ink blended a navy cardbase. To darken the bottom part I ink blended it in Violet Fringe and Italian Denim and the top part in Hampton White pigment ink. I then foam mounted the die cut Peony Print on the cardbase.

The sentiment was stamped in Deep Peony and Noir using Easy Expressions: Cheers set. I finished off the card with a few Glass Slippers sequins.

The second card is showing the Jumbo Sentiments and Blossom Branches stamp and die sets.

The Blossom Branches is a grouped layering stamp set. I stamped three of them. The soft pink one was stamped in Whisper Pink and Bubblegum; the pink one in Bubblegum and Dolled Up; the coral one in Peach Blossom and Cherry. For the leaves I chose Meadow and Spring Salad. I cut them using the coordinating die and set them aside.

I heat embossed the THANKS from Jumbo Sentiments set in Liquid Platinum on the center of the front of a white cardbsae. I also prepared a white front panel by die cutting the center of it using the coordinating die for THANKS. Next I arranged the Blossom Branches on the front panel as shown in the picture and foam mounted the front panel onto the card. The Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots were my finishing touch for this card.

For next card I used the Grouped Fresh Garden Roses, Foliage Stencil and Many Banners sets. For the envelope I used the Rose Pretty Mail set. There is a surprise in the inside of this card – the Hibiscus Pop Up!

fs-1-2

I started off by stenciling the Foliage in pink. I used Wine, Cherry, Deep Peony and Bubblegum making the bottom left corner darker. After stenciling I applied transparent embossing paste to add shine and dimension. I also sprinkled white glitter on the paste before it was dry. I set the cardbase aside to dry.

fs-4-2

The Grouped Fresh Garden Roses were stamped in Whisper Pink, Bubblegum, Dolled Up, Soft Ash and Stormy Sea. A gold heat embossed banner from the Many Banners set was picked and I stamped the sentiment in Noir on it. I cut it and added it to the card with the rose cluster. To finish I scattered some sequins from Glass Slippers and Pink Bokeh Couture Mix.

fs-2-2

The Rose Pretty Mail was stamped in Bubblegum on a pink envelope. I stamped the area for the address in Stormy Sea after masking the outer area. I then colored the roses and leaves using white and french gray colored pencils.

To assemble the Hibiscus Pop Up I highly recommend to watch Effie’s instruction video. If you follow her, it will be quite easy and you will have fun to make this gorgeous flower pop up 🙂 !

hpu-2-2

I cut the elements from colored cardstock. I used lightweight papers. To add colorful accent to my elements I used the coordinating stencils. The flower was ink blended and stenciled in Deep Peony, Cherry and Wine, the butterfly in Lemon Drop and Coralline hybrid ink. For the leaves I used Meadow and Spring Salad.
