Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far!
It’s Seize the Birthday Thursday today. And the new Toppings Option chosen by my team mate Jules is BEVERAGES!
I made a cut file for a soda bottle and cut two of them in angles to represent a toast for a birthday.
I cut the soda bottles from a white panel and ink blended the bottom half of it in light blue (DI). I then picked a white cardbase and ink blended the soda. I masked the upper part of the bottle and the area where the other bottle would be and ink blended the first soda in yellow-green and the second one in orange-pink. I used Distress inks for that. I splattered clear water on the ink blended area, let it work for a few seconds and dabbed it off with a paper towel. To make more bubbles I also splattered white ink on the panel and let it dry.
Next I foam mounted the front panel with the cut out bottles on the cardbase and drew some black strokes on the edge of the bottle opening. The sentiment is from Easy Expressions Birthday set. (The Ton). I stamped it in Azurite and Noir. I added some bubbles in neon yellow and neon orange to the area above the soda and scattered some Glass Slippers sequins by The Ton on the card.
That’s it from me! Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog to see which beverages were chosen by our Surprise Party Guest, Carol McFarland and my amazing team mates !
Hope you’ll play along!
Have a crafty day!

So fabulous! Love the negative use
This is so creative and fun! I love your ink blending both on the card front and for the sodas, and using both water and white gives the bubbles a lot of depth and interest. Gorgeous!
Wow, so beautiful! 💜💜💜
Those two sodas look good enough to drink and I love the bottles cut into the beautiful blue top layer with the liquid behind, and the water spatters really work to give the impression of bubbles..a great sentiment and sequins to finish too. x
A very innovative approach to this card and I love it. The die-cut was a fabulous idea. I also love that you placed the sequins in the bottle too.
Tae Eun, I LOVE this so much that I Pinned it to CASE sometime soon! An outstanding job with the topping! Take care!
I love the popped up look to your soda bottles. Very clever with the lines and bubbles too. Awesome card!
So many things I love in this card – the brightly colored soda bottles, the negative dicutting (I always forget to use that!) and the lovely sequins – such a happy and cheerful card! Love it!
This is brilliant! Love this clever design and the wonderful colours.
