Hello and happy Saturday, everyone!
It’s already time for a reminder post for The Flower Challenge. This month we are having the theme “MONOCHROME” . Please don’t forget to use flower(s) as main image!
I made a blue card with blue poinsettias. The stamp is called Carmine (40-792) and its from the Christmas collection by Penny Black. I used several blue hues and blue violet Ecoline liquid watercolors.
I started by heat embossing the Carmine (40-792) image in white on a watercolor paper. I did loose watercolor wash on the whole panel in light blue watercolors. After the first layer was dry I added darker blues on the petals (leaves).
After the panel was dry I splattered blue and white ink on the panel and stamped the sentiment from When Snow Falls set (30-881) in black and clear heat embossed it.
I cut the panel using a die from Zig-Zag Stackers (51-714) set and foam mounted it on a white cardbase.
That’s it from me! Please stop by The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my team mates and our guest Lisa Elton !
You have still lots of time to enter into the challenge! Looking forward to seeing your monochromatic floral creations in the gallery!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

This is a gorgeous poinsettia stamp TaeEun, and the tones of blue look fantastic and cut with the zig zag which gives a wonderful ornate edge to your mat and I love the sentiment too. x
