Hello everyone!
The Flower Challenge is celebrating their 6. Birthday with this Month’s challenge! The theme is “USE A SENTIMENT” – what an easy one 🙂 ! And there are lots of PRIZES for the lucky winners this month too! Please check out The Flower Challenge blog for more details on this event!
I’ve made a friendship card for the 6th Birthday challenge! The pretty floral frame is from the In My Heart stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio.
I started off by stamping In My Heart image in Detail Black on a Neenah solar white panel. I colored the flowers using the coordinating stencil set. For the pink flowers I used Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum and Passion Fruit. The orange flowers were stenciled in Apricot and Passion Fruit and the purple flowers in Soft Lilac and Marigold. For the leaves I used Ocean Breeze. On some part of the leaves I went over with the blending brush I used to color Marigold so that the leaves have green tone.
After the stenciling was done I cut the frame using the coordianting die.
To create the background I ink blended a white panel in Sparkling Rose and Bubble Gum making the panel darker towards the perimeter. I then cut the A2 sized panel with the Ornate Medallions coverplate die, splattered white ink on it and adhered it on a white cardbase.
I foam mounted the frame on the card and added the in Detail Black stamped sentiment to it. The In My Heart die set has several dies for the sentiments!
To finish off I added yellow Stickle dots to the center of the flowers and scattered some soft pink Crystals on the card!
Our guest for this month is Emily Midgett who also provides her beautiful coloring panels as one of our prizes!
Please stop by The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration and to see which prizes are waiting for the winners 🙂 !
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you’ll celebrate with us!

I adore this flowery frame and so prettily coloured TaeEun and the background coverplate die looks great, and love the finishing touches with the pink crystals which blend beautifully with the inked background, and the yellow glittery dots are perfect for the flower centres. x
Another beautiful card TaeEun I sometimes image having all of your art lining my walls. The inspiration and beauty would be amazing. I cant believe we have been doing this for 6 years and you have stayed through all your moves in homes, countries and Design Teams. I always expected to get that call, way too much pressure on and you need to step down and it never happened. We have made it through all six years and I hope there are many more. You have been an amazing friend xx hugs Aileen
At first I thought this was a shaker card, TaeEun, and it easily could be. I love how you colored the frame of flowers.
