I have four cards to share with you today. I stamped and cut lots of flowers using Rose Patch, Large Florals: Rose and Bountiful Leaves grouped layering stamp sets and arranged them for the first three cards. I tried to vary the floral arrangement and the shape of my cards using the new frame dies.
I used almost all colors of the Couture colors :)! Below are the colors I used.
Yellow flowers : Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine
Orange flowers : Amber Citrine, Coraline Hybrid, Coral Cavern
Pink flowers : Ballet Slippers, Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink Hybrid
Purple flowers : Soft Orchid, Orchid Crush, Grand Fuchsia
(bright purple flowers) : Soft Orchid, Orchid Crush
Violet flowers : Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms, Grape Crush
Green Leaves : Soft Garden, Bright Fern, Deep Emerald
Teal Leaves : Lofty Mint, Bright Emerald, Hot Tourmaline
Gray Leaves : Crystal Pewter, Smoky Quartz, Light Onyx
The first card is featuring the Large Florals: Rose and Bountiful Leaves set.
I arranged a violet and a bright purple rose from Large Florals: Rose set with gray and teal leaves.
To create the background I used the new Rectangle A2 Frames Slim Borders Coverplate die. I cut a white cardstock using the die and ink blended every other piece of the cut rectangle frames in Bright Emerald to match with the teal leaves. I adhered the pieces on a white cardbase and added the flowers on it. I adhered the leaves flat and added the roses using foam tape.
The sentiment is also from the Large Florals: Rose set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock and cut it using a banner die from Quick Labels and Tags. die. I ink blended Orchid Crush on a piece of white cardstock and cut it using the same banner die. I made the black banner a bit smaller and layered it with the soft purple banenr.
I added a few Smoked Emerald Sparkling Clear Sequins to finish off the card.
The second card is a square card and showing Rose Patch stamp set.
I chose yellow and orange roses of the Rose Patch stamp set and added green leaves to my floral arrangement. After I arranged the flowers and leaves on a A2 sized piece of printer paper I secured the arrangement using Press’n Seal and set it aside.
I did watercolor wash on a piece of watercolor paper in yellow and orange. After the panel was dry I cut it using Double Pierced Square Nested die. I mounted it flat on a white cardbase. I foam mounted a circle frame on it which was cut using two Double Pierced Circle Nested dies from some yellow cardstock. I then added the floral arrangement to the card.
The sentiment was from Easy Expressions set. I gold heat embossed the large calligraphic part in gold and stamped the thin part of the sentiment in Noir. I cut it using the coordinating die and added it to the card using foam tape. I finish off this card with some Lemon Chiffon and Glass Slippers sequins.
Next card is a slimline card. I combined Rose Patch and Large Florals: Rose and made a splendid arrangement filling in the slimline size. I also used Leafy Bits die.
To make this card I first arranged the violet roses and teal leaves. I added some white die cut leaves cut using the Leafy Bits die here and there. I then stuck them under the Press’n Seal and set it aside to make the background.
I cut a piece of watercolor paper in 3 5/8 x 8 5/8 ” and created the background for my roses using ink smooshing technique in light blue, pink and violet.
After the panel was dry I foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase. I then adhered the rose arrangement on it. I adhered the leaves flat on the background and added the roses using foam tape.
The sentiment is from the new Easy Expressions : Thanks set. I stamped the calligraphic part of the whole stamp in three colors; Soft Garnet, Grape Crush and Cobalt Breeze, so that two sentiments from the set have ombre color. I stamped the thin part in Noir. I fussy cut the sentiment I need from the panel. There is a coordinating die which cuts the whole sentiment strips in one single pass! I added the sentiment with pink-violet ombre word to the card and scattered some Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins.
As I had all the pretty Couture Color inks on my desk to stamp the roses in different hues, I decided to add a rainbow card to my collection.
I cut a Neenah solar white cardstock using the Double Pierced Circle Coverplate die. It cuts 7 circle frames around a small circle. So I thought it is perfect for a rainbow :). I ink blended the circle pieces in rainbow colors using Lipstick Red, Coraline Hybrid, Lemon Drop, Soft Garden, Cobalt Breeze, True Navy and Iris Blooms and foam mounted the rainbow on a white cardbase.
The sentiment was cut using Many Sentiments die set which will be available in a few weeks! I cut the words “hugs” four times from some heavyweight white cardstock, once from glossy fine transparent glitter paper and stacked them together. I cut the shadow layer of the word die from some vellum. The sentiment was glued on the rainbow. Three rhinestones were added to finish off the card.
That’s it from me for today! I hope you enjoyed looking my cards and could get some inspiration!
