Stripes & Gradients – Pinkfresh Studio September 2022 Challenge 

Hello everyone!

Today I have a card to share which I made for the Pinkfresh Studio September 2022 Challenge! The theme of this month’s challenge is STRIPES & GRADIENTS.

I created a striped background for my slimline card using the Gradiating Stripes stencil. I used the color palette provided in the challenge graphic to color my floral elements and the stripes. The flowers are from the Happy Dance stamp set from the August Release.

To begin I heat embossed the Happy Dance image in silver two times on Neenah solar white cardstock. I stenciled the image using the coordinating stencil set. To color the flowers I picked the ink colors following the color palette from the challenge graphic. They are Coral Reef, Passion Fruit (pink flowers), Soft Lilac, Candy Violet (purple flowers), Sunshine, Marigold (yellow flowers), Ocean Breeze and Aquamarine (leaves).

After the stenciling was done I cut both images using the coordinating die and set them aside.

For the background I used a Canson Mixed Media paper panel in slimline size. I love the stripy texture of the paper! I stenciled the Gradiating Stripes on it using Lemon Whip, Coral Reef, Soft Lilac and Ocean Breeze keeping the colors light towards the bottom.

I cut the backgroud panel using the large Slim Stitched Scallop Rectangles die. I adhered the central panel on a white slimline cardbase and foam mounted the scallop frame.

I arranged the floral clusters as shown in the picture and added the silver heat embossed sentiment. The sentiment is also from the Happy Dance set. There are coordinating dies for two sentiment pieces in the set!

The beautiful clear iridescent drops were my finishing touch!
