Hello everyone! It’s time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge! In March the challenge is all about Die Cuts or Stencils.

I used layering stencils by Pinkfresh Studio and also a new die set for my background. The hot foiled flower cluster is from the Dreamy Florals set and the background die is called Art Deco Frame.

The floral images from the Dreamy Florals were hot foiled in gold and then stenciled using the coordinating stencil set. I stenciled the large flower in Sweet Mustard and Clementine, the pink small flowers in Coral Reef and Passion Fruit, the orange one in Clementine and the leaves in Soft Lilac, Blue Jay and Stargazer to stencil them in two toned colors (blue-purple). After I was done with stenciling I cut the images using the coordinating die and set them aside.

Before I cut the background panel using the die from the Art Deco Frame set, I watercolored it in blue and purple, I splattered a bit of purple watercolor on the panel and foam mounted it on a white cardbase. I cut a small frame using the Art Deco Frame set from some white cardstock and adhered a piece of vellum on the back of it on which I ink blended Candy Violet and Blue Jay. The white frame with the vellum was added to the center of the card using some foam tape.

The large floral cluster was then placed on the frame with some foam adhesives for some dimension. The hot foiled sentiment is from the Wonderful Sentiments set. I used some Amethyst Glitter Drops to finish off my card.

That’s it from me! Hope I was able to inspire you with my card! Please head on over to The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my talented team mates and don’t forget to play along 🙂 !

  1. such a beautiful card Tae Eun love that soft purple inset panel really highlights the flowers to perfection.

  2. A fabulous card TaeEun with the double layered frames and the purple ink blended vellum in the centre makes a wonderful backdrop to the beautifully coloured flowers, and the foiled sentiment and amethyst glitter drops are a great finishing touch. x
