Hello everyone!
It’s time for the April challenge at The Flower Challenge! The theme for this month is FOCUS ON BACKGROUND STAMPING! You can use a background stamp or you can stamp a background pattern using small stamps if you want! Please don’t forget that flowers must be the main element on your project!
I made a background pattern by stamping the Coming Up Peruvian Lilies stamp from the Anniversary Release by The Ton multiple times.
I stamped the Coming Up Peruvian Lilies three times on a A2 sized watercolor paper panel to fill up the panel. I stamped them in a black pigment ink and let it dry. Next I watercolored the lilies in yellow, orange and pink. I also watercolored the background in dark gray for some contrast.
After the watercolored panel was dry I cut it with the Double Pierced Rectangle A2 die. I then cut a small rectangle from the right bottom part of the panel. I cut one more rectangle from some vellum, this time in a larger size to layer it under the small rectangle watercolored piece.
I attached the watercolored panel on a white cardbase and foam mounted the small rectangle piece with the vellum mat onto its place.
The sentiment was cut using the Script Word die. I cut the sentiment four times from white cardstock to stack them up. The shadow layer was cut from a piece of watercolor paper which was colored in light green. Lastly I scattered some Glass Slippers sequins to finish off.
That’s it from me! To get more inspiration please head on over to The Flower Challenge blog ! Our Guest Designer Ishani and my talented team mates have made awesome projects to inspire you !
