Hello, today I want to show you a birthday card.

It is for my niece in South Korea.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YOONJI!
윤지야, 생일 축하해! 학교 생활 열심히 하고 다이빙 연습 다치지 않게 살살 하고.
추억 많이 만드는 신나는 또 한 살, 한 해가 되기 바란다.

This week’s cue word at CASology is PLAID. So I searched through my pattern papers.
I found a beautiful pink plaid pattern paper from DCWV and decided to use it for the card. The design of this birthday card is from one of my previous creations.

I started by cutting the elements with Cricut, a big and some small hearts out of the plaid paper, sentiment “happy” which I modified in one piece out of the plaid paper and silver foil paper. The small silver hearts were leftovers from another project. I adhered a silver shimmer paper panel in A2 size on a card base, stamped “Birthday” with embossing ink and heat embossed it with Liquid platinum on the right bottom part of the panel. The big pink plaid heart was added with foam tape. I then placed “happy” half in and half out of the heart and cut it along the outline of the heart. I adhered the silver foil piece of “hap-” on the heart and pink piece of “-py” outside of the heart with foam tape. Small hearts in silver and pink are the finishing touch.

And this is the pink plaid heart birthday card 🙂

I took some new pictures of my previous cards, too. So please take a look 🙂
