Hello,
Today I have a christmas card:).
I’ve been wanting to try the bokeh technique for a while and today was the day:)!
I watched some Youtube video tutorials and decided to make a christmas card using the technique.
I wanted a bokeh background which looks like a snowfall at night.
For the layout I took the sketch at HLS October Sketch Challenge.
The tree on the hill was from a cutting file I made for a previous creation.
I drew a wavy line to show a hill and welded it with the tree. I then cut this three times with my cricut.
For the background I blended Distress inks on a white CS and applied white pigment ink using sponge daubers und circle stencils in various sizes.
The tree and the hill were treated with Ultra Shimmer embossing glitter for some snowy sparkle.
I adhered a small hill directly on the bokeh background and the stacked “tree on the hill” on that.
The sentiment is from Stampendous and was stamped also using white pigment ink. But I wasn’t happy with that so I traced the sentiment with a white gel pen.
And I failed again to catch the sparkle into the picture 🙁 …
It was my first trial of the bokeh technique and obviously I need some practice!
