I was playing with alcohol inks again and this time I tried to make a partial background with them to make a one layer card.
I wanted to know if masking fluid works with alcohol inks on a glossy paper.
So I drew two lines using masking fluid, waited until it dried and applied alcohol inks. As I drew the lines by hand, the border isn’t clean but it worked very well. I used Sail boat blue, Indigo and Hazelnut to follow the color scheme from May Inspiration Challenge at Altenew blog.
After the background was completely dry, I rubbed the masking fluid off and stamped the flowers from Best Mom stamp set by Altenew using embossing ink and gold heat embossed it. I then colored the flowers using yellow acrylic paint in several layers to make them opaque.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I stamped it with Staz On black ink.
