Hello and happy Saturday!
Today I have the honour to be a part of the Inkspirational Challenge as a Guest Designer!
I was so thrilled when Marina send me an invitation and said I may make a GD card at a color themed challenge!
The colors for this fortnight are MINT and NAVY!
I love these cool colors, but using only these two colors and some neutral colors for making a card was a tricky homework for me which brought some days of happy brainstorming.
Here is what I came up with!
I decided to make a background with that colors. I started off by stamping and clear heat embossing the background stamp from Hero Arts on a white CS. I then colored the panel using Gelatos from Faber Castell. I used here dark blue and metallic mint. At first I rubbed the gelatos directly on the CS and smudged with my finger starting in the middle of the panel towards the corners, so that a ombre look appears. I then blended and diluted the colors as I wanted using a wet wipe. Lastly I cleaned the surface with dry paper towel to show up the embossed image.
For some more interest and to keep the card more CAS I cut the panel into a frame and a rectagle as shown in the picture with my Cricut and mounted them using foam tape on the white card base.
The flowers and branches are from the Blissful Botanicals stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I stamped and white heat embossed them on a vellum and fussy cut them. The circle sentiment in navy is from Simon Says Stamp. I placed the sentiment and the bouquet of flowers in the center of the rectangle panel and added blue rhinestones.
I hope you could get some inspiration from my card and join in the fun at Inkspirational Challenge #108!
Thank you all for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend!
