Today I have a card to share with you, which I made for December Inspiration Challenge over at Altenew blog. It is called A Year in Review Inspiration Challenge where we may choose one of the inspiration challenges of 2016.
I chose July Inspiration challenge. Actually it was a wedding themed challenge but I took only the color scheme from the inspiration picture. I hope it’s okay :).
To start off I stamped and heat embossed the flowers and leaves from Adore You stamp set by Altenew in silver on a glossy cardstock, along with masking if needed. I then applied alcohol inks. I used for the flowers Raspberry, Flamingo snd Sunshine Yellow, and for the leaves Botanical and Citrus. While waiting for the panel to dry I prepared the card base by stamping the Diagonal Stripes from SSS in Soft Garden from The Ton and blended Twisted Citron DI on it. I added silver lines to the stripes for more interest. I then cut the alcohol ink panel along the left and bottom outlines of the flower cluster and mounted it on the card base using some foam tape. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as well. I stamped it in Wild Orchid first and then partially (bottom part) in black to achieve an ombre look. To finish off I added a few sequins.
