Altenew’s 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop + Giveaway

 I started off by coloring the background of blue sky on a Ranger water color cardstock with Distress inks. I then stamped the flowers in Antique Linen DI along with masking and colored them with Zig brush markers. I added some shiny accents on the stamen of the flowers using Spica glitter pens. After done with coloring I stamped the swing hanging down on a branch from Moments in Time stemp set in Evening Gray. I added some gray shade on the image with Zig brush markers and sparkle using Spica glitter pen.


I trimmed the panel and foam mounted it on a white card base. The sentiment is from Moments in Time stamp set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black card stock and foam mounted it on the card. Some sequins were my finishing touch.


My second card is featuring Tulip stamp set and Hug Me stamp set from the latest Release. I created a scene with a cute fox laying down on a tulip field who misses someone he loves :). First I stamped the fox on a white card stock and masked him. I then started stamping the tulips in various colors. While I stamped the stem and leaves, I masked the bottom part of the panel with a piece of torn paper. I added details on the tulips with Polychromos colored pencils and colored the foxes using Copic markers. After I masked the fox and the upper area of the panel with a torn paper, I blended green DIs on the bottom part to create grass. I blended the top area in blue and cut the top and bottom edge using deckle scissors to continue the look of the torn paper edge. I then stamped the sentiment from Hug Me stamp set in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. I shaped the sentiment in a curve to follow the outline of the fox. I foam mounted the panel on a kraft card base and the fox in a think bubble, die cut using the coordinating die, on the card. To finish off I added some white dots on the grass and on the foxes.


And I have one more card to share with you.
This was made using black magic technique. The look of vibrant flowers on black background is so attractive that I want to try this technique when I see solid flower stamps :).


To start off I stamped the solid flower stamp from Garden Treasure using white pigment ink on a black card stock. I then stamped the outline image in black so I could define the individual petals. I colored the flowers with Prismacolor pencils and added white stamen using a white gel pen and yellow glittery center with Stickles.


I then fussy cut a circle frame out from the panel to show a green glitter card stock which I glued on the card base. I then foam mounted the front panel on the card base. The splatters are mint pearl watercolor. I took the sentiment from Extra Special stamp set. I made a green to black ombre strip using some Distress inks and white heat embossed the sentiment on it. I added a pink ombre strip to the sentiment, which I colored with Prismacolor pencils and foam mounted it on the card. I finished off the card by adding some sequins.
