Hello all!
Today is Seize the Birthday-Thursday :)!
The Toppings option for the next fortnight is Two Patterned Papers. As always you can link up any newly created birthday card!
For today I made a card to celebrate the birth of a new baby girl. It’s not a usual birthday card, but I thought that the day of birth is the first birthday of a person :). In South Korea, where I come from, the babies are already one year old, when they are born. That means, the time in mommy’s belly is also counted as the person’s life. Pretty logical!!!
For this card I used a digital floral banner, which is one of free floral banner images from Free Pretty Things for You. I saw this on this card that one of my lovely crafty friends, Hannelie from Desert Diva once made. I added my sentiment on the banner in computer and printed it. I made a cutting file for the circle window which integrate the outline of the banner and cut it from the printed panel using my Cricut. The coloring was done with Copic markers. The baby bodysuit is also cut with Cricut. I used here my first pattern paper. The second pattern paper on this card is the background. I found a pretty pink and purple plaid pattern paper in my stash, glued it on the card base. I foam mounted the front panel, on which I added a pink circle frame. I then adhered the bodysuit on the window and added three pink rhinestones as buttons on it.
That’s it from my side. Now it’s your turn to create a birthday card using two pattern papers (if you like the Toppings option :))!
