Hello everyone!
It’s already the first of April and time for a new challenge at The Ton Challenge blog!
The theme for this month is ANYTHING GOES!
On today’s card I used the beloved Sending Peonies and the coordinating die of Brushed Hugs.
To start off I blended the background using Deep Emerald, Soft Garden, Cali Blue and Arctic Sky dye inks. I then placed the peony cluster from Sending Peonies stamp set on Misti tool and stamped it in embossing ink on the front panel and on a shimmery cardstock. I stamped it again on my white card base in Crystal Pewter. I gold heat embossed the image on the front panel and on the shimmery cardstock piece. I repeated the process after placing the stamp on the other diagonal corner of the card. I die cut the brushed hugs using coordinating die from the shimmery cardstock piece with gold heat embossed peony cluster and again from a red foam.
I colored the peonies using Copic markers in the same color as the background to add some dimension. I colored the peonies on the Hugs die cut as well, this time in silver using a gel pen. I trimmed the front panel slightly smaller than A2, glued it flat on the card base and added the red foam ahd shimmery hugs die cut. To finish off I added some sequins from Cinderella’s Ride, Flamenco Sunset, Winter Thaw Couture mix and Glass Slippers sequins mix.
