Hello and happy Seize the Birthday Thursday :)!
I’m popping in again to share my DT card for Seize the Birthday with you!
The Toppings option this time is ONE LAYER! I know for some of us it is a hard thing, but we like to challenge ourselves, right :)?
The idea of my card came from this video, which amazing Kelly Latevola has made for Wplus9! It is so helpful to watch her videos!!! If you haven’t seen her beautiful card yet, hop over and enjoy! I have no Oxide inks yet, so I used normal Distress inks for my background.
To start off I colored the background by smooshing DIs on some Canson Bristol paper. I stamped this floral cluster from Hello Lovely stamp set by Concord&9th in Memento black. I then colored the image with Copic markers, added shadows with C5,3,1 and white highlights using a white gel pen. The sentiment is from Penny Black which I heat embossed in gold. To finish off I added some clear sequins.
The shimmer on the card comes from the pearlized water I used to dilute the DIs for background.
