Today I have a birthday card to share with you. At Seize the Birthday a new challenge has started today. The Toppings option for next fortnight is
BALLOONS

For today’s card I pulled out a Penny Black stamp called Betsy Bluebell which I purchased as I started card making. The little girl is too cute!
I started by stamping the girl with balloons and a single balloon with a ladybug on it on the Bristol Smooth panel. I used Versafine onyx black as I wanted to watercolor the images. I made a mask for the heart (cut with Cricut) and cut the masks for the stamped images. After masking the images, I blended the heart using Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feather DIs. The imgaes were colored using Zig markers. The sentiment is a part of a stamp from Birthday Borders set by Technique Tuesday. I curved the stamp along the outline of the heart, stamped it in Versafine onyx black and clear heat embossed it.
I die cut the panel slightly smaller than A2 size and foam mounted it on the yellow cardbase. To finish off I added Shimmer Pico Embellisher on the balloons, on the heart hair pins and on the shoes of the girl. Oh, and on the ladybug, too :).
After I finished my card, I found this card by Kristina Werner on Pinterest. I think I watched her video at the time she uploaded it and forgot about it. It was not intended, but I should say this card is a CASE of her card :)!
That was my take on the Toppings option!!! Hope I could inspire you to create some birthday cards with balloons!!!
