Hello everyone!

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you featuring a very unique stamp set from The Ton. The Ton had a mini release of 4 clear stamp sets this month. Effie’s designs for this release were inspired by her own stamp carving art (If you want to see Effie’s hand-carved stamps, visit her on instagram @craftyeffie.) The new holiday stamps are very unique and different from other stamps from The Ton.

Vintage Christmas Block

For today’s card I used Vintage Christmas Block.

I went with a vintage look like the name of the stamp says.

I stamped the block image on a beige cardstock (Almond Cream from Bazzill) in brown ombre using Found Topaz and Dark Roast dye ink. The black mark on the dark brown part wasn’t intended. I tried the stamp using black StazOn on Yupo before I made this card, and the stamp wasn’t perfectly clean :). It was an accident but I liked it. I colored the tiny images using Polychromos colored pencils, added some glitter using Spica Glitter pens. I outlined the sentiment and drew the snow on the letters using a white gel pen. It’s hard to see in the pic but the letters have glittery coat of a clear glitter pen. To finish off the card I added a thin frame cut from a gold glitter paper.

I don’t know why but the close up picture looks a bit bluish :)…

This is a holiday stamp set with which you could create a set of Christmas cards in minutes.  Some metallic or glittery heat embossing of this block image and you have a festive Christmas card in hands!

If you already have some items of the new release, don’t forget to play along at The Ton’s November Challenge. The theme is HOLIDAY!
As always one winner will get a $50 gift certificate* to The Ton shop!

* Gift certificates are only valid on The Ton Stamps, Dies, Ink and Gilding Section in our shop.

I want to enter this card into Addicted to Stamps and More #268: HOLIDAY
