Hello and welcome to the Layton’s Legacy Card Drive & Fundraiser Blog Hop hosted by Lea Lawson. She is raising money to purchase gift cards that can be given to the parents of NICU patients at The University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital. This all happens in honor of Lea’s little prince Layton Caleb. For more details behind her story and this incredible event, head over to Lea’s blog.
The Ton stamps is participating in this Blog Hop and sponsoring with prizes. The Ton is giving away a $25 gift certificate* to the shop and a stamp set of choice. (*Gift certificate only applies to The Ton branded stamps, dies, ink and gilding.)
This gorgeous moodboard created by Lea is the inspiration for my card today.
The color combination is so lovely. I love the wall deco of the baby room in the top left picture in grey, yellow and gold which gave me the inspiration for my card. I added one little fox picked from the right bottom picture.
I started by gold heat embossing the Bokeh Burst Round stamp on a textured white cardstock and die cutting the circle using the coordinating die. To created the mountain I stamped the second layer of the Mountains in Hampton White pigment ink on some gray cardstock. The third layer was silver heat embossed. I cut the mountain using coordinating die. I silver heat embossed Minor Stripes background on a piece of the same gray cardstock like mountain.
The yellow background for the shaker window was created by blending Lemon Drop on the white cardbase. I added dots using yellow Wink of Stella on it. I assembled the shaker and filled the shaker with Lemon Chiffon sequins. I then foam mounted the mountain and silver striped piece onto the shaker card.
The sentiment is from Eagle set. I gold heat embossed two sentiments on a strip of yellow cardstock embellished with a thin strip of Gold foil adhesive paper. I foam mounted it onto the card.
The fox from Hey Foxy set was gold heat embossed, watercolored, fussy cut and foam mounted on top of the sentiment strip. To finish off the card I added some Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins.
That’s it from me! Hope you liked looking my card.
