Hello and Happy Friday!!!
I have my DT card for the latest Flower Challenge to share with you today!
The theme for this month is to use
ACETATE / VELLUM
I started by stamping Blooming Peony Garden cling background stamp by The Ton in Pink Derby. I stamped it again in embossing ink and heat embossed the image using iridescent EP for some sparkle. I gold heat embossed the biggest peony of the background image on some vellum, colored it on the back using Tombow brush markers and fussy cut it.
I mounted the background panel on a dark red cardbase and added a sheet of vellum cut with a Double Stitched Rectangle die on it. I then glued the vellum flower onto the card over the same big peony image.
I cut the birthday using Birthday word die from some red fun foam and from a cardstock on which I adhered the Silver Adhesive Glitter Paper. I glued the silver sentiment on the red fun foam and mounted it onto the card. “Happy” was borrowed from Perfect Fit sentiment set. I gold heat embossed it on a dark red cardstock. To finish off I added some Medallion Gold sequins.
The vellum flower is so bold that it looks almost like an colored image on a normal cardstock. I was surprised how bright and bold the colors look even though it was colored on the back of the vellum!!!
Hope you give the vellum or acetate in your stash some love and join in our challenge!
