Hello and welcome to Altenew June 2018 Stamps and Dies Release Blog Hop! I’m so excited and honored to be a stop in this blog hop along with other amazing crafters!
If you’ve arrived here from Svitlana Shayevich’s blog, you are right on track. If you are lost or want to start from the first stop please hop over to the Altenew Card Blog.
I have five cards to share with you today. So without further ado let’s get started.
My first card is featuring Leaf Canopy set.
I started off by gold heat embossing the big and small branch images on an Alcohol Ink cardstock and colored them using alcohol inks in Limeade, Botanical and Willow. I then splattered Gold Mixative on the panel.
I cut out the small branch using coordinating die and set it aside. I aligned an A2 white woodgrain cardstock with the colored panel and cut the big branch from the woodgrain cardstock with the coordinating die. I adheared the Alcohol Ink cardstock with the big branch onto a cardbase and foam mounted the white woodgrain panel on it.
The sentiment is from Leaf Canopy set as well. I stamped it on a strip of yellow cardstock in black pigment ink. I heat embossed the thanks in gold and other part in clear embossing powder. The sentiment strip and the small branch were foam mounted as shown in the picture. I finished off the card by adding some golden flatback pearls.
The second card is an one layer card with a floral arrangement created using Perfectly Perfect set.
I started by stamping the floral arrangement in Antique Linen DI on some Arches cold pressed watercolor paper while masking when needed. I then watercolored the image and splattered gold watercolor on it. The sentiment is from Cherished Memories set. I stamped it in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it.
My next card is showing Sweetest Peas stamp set.
To start off I gold heat embossed the Sweetest Peas images on some navy cardstock and colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils. I fussy cut them all and set them aside.
To create the background I simply adhered Peach Gold washi tape on a white cardbase. It was so quick and I’ve got this gorgeous background! The golden frame was cut with the die included in New Day Card Kit. I used the golden cardstock also from New Day Card Kit. I foam mounted the frame and the sweet pea flowers onto the card.
The sentiment from Sweetest Peas set was gold heat embossed on some peach cardstock and mounted onto the card.
The next card was created using Moroccan Mosaic and Cherished Memories sets.
First I heat embossed Moroccan Mosaic background on watercolor paper in Pure white crisp EP and colored the panel in purple and pink using liquid watercolor. I then splattered the same ink, gold and white watercolor on the panel and let the panel dry.
The flower and leaves from Cherished Memories were also white heat embossed on some vellum and cut using coordinating dies. I colored the flower on the back in soft pink using R403, R301from Artist Marker Set C.
The sentiment is from Moroccan Mosaic set as well. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted it on the card along with the vellum flower and leaves. I finished off the card by adding some iridescent sequins.
Now to my last card for today. For this card I used H for Hello from Mega Alphabet dies along with the fun Party Banner die.
I stated off by creating a pink watercolored panel using pink DOX inks. I then cut the panel using Party Banner die and Mega Alphabet H die. The Party Banner die is 4.25 ” wide and fits perfectly onto a A2 sized card. I stamped the small floral image of Mother’s Love set randomly on the panel to create the DIY background pattern. I used black pigment ink to clear heat emboss the image afterwards.
I then lifted the colors from the flower petals by adding clear water and dabbing it off with paper towel. To make them even brighter I added white opaque ink on the petals.
I blended some pink ink on the white cardbase very lightly to show it through the bottom and top of the die cut H. I foam mounted the colored panel on it. The sentiment is from Leaf Canopy set. I stamped the long sentiment on the cardbase in black and white heat embossed the hello on some scrap piece of paper I had after die cutting the colored panel. To finish off I added dots on H using Sweet Lilac Nuvo drops.
So now you’ve seen all of my cards for today :)! Thank you so much for staying with me through this long post. Hope you liked my cards :)!
