Hello and welcome to The Ton’s Summer Kick Off Blog Hop!!!
This is a blog hop where you can be inspired by our design team members. We have created projects using our new products from 2018 for you. If you have arrived from Anna’s blog, you are right on track. If you want to start from the first stop, please hop over to The Ton’s blog.
I have made two cards using Butterfly Wings-Monarch stamp, Pop-Up Butterfly Dies-Monarch and Butterfly Swirl Die from our Flash May 2018 Release. There are also Swallowtail and Morpho stamp and dies in the shop, if you like other butterflies more 🙂 !
My first card is featuring all three items.
The rainbow butterflies are cut out pieces from the panel I cut using Butterfly Swirl Die for the next card. I silver heat embossed the Butterfly Wings-Monarch on a silver cardstock and popped it off on a gray cardbase on which I silver heat embossed the Minor Stripes.
I then added the butterflies. The tiny ones were adhered directly and the bigger butterflies were foam mounted.
I put a large Monarch pop-up butterfly inside of the card. The Pop-Up Butterfly Dies-Monarch cut both wings and body parts. The dies cut slits in the body parts and you slide them into each other to assemble the butterfly.
I cut the butterfly from a thin white linen paper and blended Lemon Drop on the edge of the wings.
To finish off I added some Glass Slippers and Lemon Chiffon sequins on the inside of the card.
My second card is showing the Butterfly Swirl Die.
I started by making a rainbow trail on a watercolor paper panel using Color Burst. I kept the trail in the shape of the Butterfly Swirl Die. I then cut the panel using Butterfly Swirl Die and the biggest Double Stitched Rectangle die. The cut butterflies were used on the first card.
I adhered Glossy Fine Transparent Adhesive Glitter paper on a white cardbase and foam mounted the colored panel on it. The sentiment and the banner are from Basic Banners set. I heat embossed them on some yellow cardstock and cut the banner using coordinating die.
That’s it from my side. Hope you enjoyed looking my cards.
