Hello everyone!!! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

Today I have a holiday card to share with you! The theme of The Flower Challenge #26 is A Special Occasion and I chose a Holiday card.

I used Coming Up Poinsettias stamp set from The Ton. It is a beautiful cluster image of three poinsettias. I hope the red poinsettia leaves can be counted as flowers 🙂 !

I gold heat embossed the Coming Up Poinsettias on Canson watercolor paper and colored it using Color Burst powders. After it was dry I cut the image using the coordinating die.

To make the front panel I stamped Haute Stripes cling background stamp (The Ton) on a white panel in Valentine Red dye ink. I then cut the circle using a Double Stitched Circle die. I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Coming Up Poinsettias on the bottom part of the panel. The edge of the circle was gold heat embossed as well with the help of a embossing pen.

The inked background was created directly on the white cardbase. I masked the border to keep the area white and blended Valentine Red using Clarity Stencil Brush. I splattered gold and opaque white watercolor on it and let it dry.

I cut the front panel smaller than the cardbase. I then foam mounted it and the poinsettia image on the cardbase. I finished off the card by adding some Medallion Gold sequins by The Ton.

Hope you liked my DT card for our new challenge! I’d love to see your projects in the gallery at The Flower Challenge!
