Hello and welcome to my blog, everyone!!!
It’s the Seize the Birthday Thursday today and this is the last challenge in 2019, as we always have a holiday break in December!
My team mate, Glenda chose the new Toppings option this time. She wants for us to use touch of red for our projects!
Touch of RED
I made a birthday card using Loose Poinsettias set by The Ton. It would be great for a person who has the birthday in the holiday season!
I stamped the poinsettia and solo leaves and berries on a solar white cardstock in gray Memento ink and colored them using C Copics. I then added details of the vein and dark shade to the petals (leaves) using Polychromos colored pencils in cold gray. I fussy cut them all and set them aside.
I cut a shimmer cardstock panel slightly smaller than A2 size and cut two circles using Double Stitched Circle dies from some textured white cardstock and from a red patterned paper.
I adhered the shimmer cardstock panel on a dark red cardbase, the white circle on it and added the red circle using some foam tapes as shown in the picture. I then arranged the poinsettia and the berries on the red circle.
The “happy” was cut using Birthday word die from a red glitter paper and from some white cardstock. I adhered the red word slightly offset so that the white shadow can be seen. The “Birthday” was heat embossed in white on a strip of dark red cardstock and added to the card. I finished off the card with three red rhinestones.
That was my last DT card at Seize the Birthday for this year! Hope you like my birthday card in a holiday style 🙂 ! It was actually a set with one of my previous cards I made for other challenge.
Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from our surprise party guest Annie and my team mates! I’d love to see your creations in the gallery! If you want to, you may enter any birthday themed project!
Wishing you, Seize the Birthday friends, a happy holiday season! See you next year!
Hugs,
