Hello, friends!
It’s already time for a reminder post for The Flower Challenge #38: Add Spots or Stripes!
I made a holiday card with lots of fine stripes 🙂 ! I used Loose Poinsettias and Basic Stripes set by The Ton.
I stamped the poinsettia on a Neenah solar white panel in gray Memento ink and colored them using C Copic markers. I then added the details to the petals (leaves) using cold gray Polychromos colored pencils. I fussy cut them all and set them aside.
To create the red striped background I stamped Basic Stripes on a white cardbase in an angle in Valentine Red. Next I white heat embossed the Basic Stripes on a red cardstock, cut it into a wide stripe and added it to the card in another angle using foam adhesives.
The silver heat embossed sentiments are from Loose Poinsettias as well. I added the thin strips with the sentiment and thin red strips to the card as shown in the picture. As the stripes of the background made the card look too busy, I adhered a piece of white cardstock on the bottom of the card to give it some white space. I arranged the poinsettia and the berries and added three red rhinestones to finish off the card.
Hope you enjoyed looking my DT card and were inspired to play along!
Wishing you all a happy weekend!
Hugs,
TaeEun
