Hello, crafty Friends!!! How are you doing? Hope you’re having a great week so far!
Today I have a few cards that I made using some goodies from Share the Love Release by Penny Black. The stamps that I chose for today’s cards are including some cute critters, whimsical designs and pretty rose dies.
My first card is featuring these sweet bear friends from Take me Away stamp set (30-650) from Share the Love Release.
I stamped this cute image on a Neenah solar white paper in black Memento ink and cut it with my ScanNCut. I then colored the image using Copic markers. I used E31, 33, 35 and 37 for the brown bear and W colors for the gray bear. For the balloons I chose R30, 32, YG01, 25 and Y00, 02.
The background was created by ink blending. I made a negative oval mask and ink blended Squeezed Lemonade , Twisted Citron and Worn Lipstick DI on a white cardbase making cloud shape using a self-made cloud stencil. The sentiment is from Only You stamp set (30-666). I stamped it on the cardbase in black and foam mounted the image on it. I finished off the card by scattering some clear iridescent sequins on it.
The next two cards are featuring Banner Blooms stamp (30-664) and Cut Out (51-603). I chose teal and gold color combination.
I started off by creating two stamped panels. I placed the stamps from Banner Blooms stamp (30-664) set on my MISTI and stamped them on a Neenah Solar white cardstock panel and on a teal colored cardstock panel. I used light gray ink for the white panel and an embossing ink for the teal panel to stamp the images.
I colored the images using BG Copics for the white panel, Polychromos colored pencils for the teal panel. I gold heat embossed the images after the coloring was done. I filled the gaps with small images – stamped, colored and gold heat embossed them. I also gold heat embossed some dots.
I cut each panel in the same way into three pieces and switched the middle parts. I mounted the middle part flat on the cardbase; the white piece on a teal cardbase and the teal piece on a white cardbase. The side pieces were then added using some foam adhesives.
The banner and the sentiment were also stamped, colored and gold heat embossed like the images and cut using the coordinating Cut Out (51-603). The banners were foam mounted as shown in the pictures and the cards were finished.
Next I have a CAS card to share with you. This is showing the sweet roses from Red Roses (51-593) die set, which includes three roses and a bow.
The background panel was created using a YUPO paper panel colored with alcohol inks in Watermelon and Poppyfield. I pressed a gold foil using a brayer on the panel, before it was completely dry.
The roses and the bow were cut from some watercolor paper. I tied the bouquet with a red twine and adhered it on the background panel. The bow was gold heat embossed three times. I actually splattered gold ink on the roses but I wasn’t happy with it. So I cut more roses and adhered them on the previous ones.
The sentiment is from Little Charmer (30-662) stamp set. I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of red cardstock and foam mounted it onto the card.
The last card is featuring a lovely flower bouquet from Key to Kindness (30-665) stamp set.
I stamped the image on some Bristol smooth paper in Antique Linen and Tattered Rose and colored it using Karin brush markers. After the coloring was done, I fussy cut it and set it aside.
I wanted to put the bouquet on the grass. So I watercolored some scrap of watercolor paper in green and cut some Grass using Garden Edgers die set (51-549). I ink blended the sky with some clouds on a white cardbase in blue using Salty Ocean DI and stamped the sentiment from Love Language (30-667) stamp set in a black ink. I then added the grass pieces onto the cardbase, the second layer using some foam tapes. I tucked the bouquet in the grass field and the card was finished.
I had a blast making these cards using Penny Black’s stamps and dies! I really enjoyed the process and love how the cards tuned out!
Thank you so much for looking my cards! Hope I could inspire you with them!
Have a happy day!
Hugs,
