Hello everyone!

It’s Seize the Birthday Thursday again! This time around we have a tic tac toe table for you to play with! Ashiwini chose this Toppings Option and I think it’s quite fun 🙂 !

I chose the middle vertical line: inlaid diecutting, flowers and watercoloring. I printed out the Full Bloom digital stamp by Alex Syberia Design and watercolored it in rainbow colors. My die cut sentiment was then inlaid into the colored panel.

I printed the Full Bloom digital stamp on a watercolor paper. First I added Distress inks (Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Broken China, Wilted Violet) to the panel using ink smooshing technique. After the background was dried, I started coloring the image using Karin brush markers in rainbow colors.

After the coloring was completed I cut out HAPPY from the panel using a die from Peony Laurel coordinating die set (The Ton). I also cut the word from some white cardstock on which I adhered the Adhesive Glitter paper glossy fine silver and inlaid the letters into the places of the colored panel.

I foam mounted the front panel on a light gray cardbase and added the BIRTHDAY to the card which was stamped in black on a strip of yellow cardstock. I added some white dots to the petals using a white gel pen and said the card is done.

that’s it from me! Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from my amazing team mates and our new Surprise Party Guest Jen from JENerally Speaking!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I’d love to see your projects in the Seize the Birthday gallery! If you take the Topping, please let us know which elements you chose from the tic tac toe table!

Hugs,

  1. Gorgeous watercolouring! Love the smooshed background and the way you did the sentiment, too – but really, it’s all about that beautiful flower painting!

  2. I just don’t know what to say anymore. WOWZA!!!! I am going to have to try some loose watercolor backgrounds before I tackle the flowers themselves and see if I can pull this off. Doubtful….but I can hope.

  3. Your lightly smooshed background is perfect with these stunning flowers TaeEun, beautifully coloured. Love this card! Cathy x

  4. You actually make it appear really easy with your presentation but I to find this matter to be really something that I believe I might by no means understand. It seems too complicated and extremely large for me. I’m looking forward for your subsequent submit, I’ll attempt to get the grasp of it!

  5. So gorgeous, my heart is aching! And a lovely image to attempt rainbow watercoloring too! Glad we chose the same line, because I love see more watercoloring and even more watercoloring from you!! 😀

  6. I am in awe of your watercolouring! This is so beautiful!! The sparkly sentiment goes perfectly.
