Hello everyone!

It’s already time for a reminder post for The latest Flower Challenge! Our theme for July is Summer/Winter!

I used one of the beautiful digital stamp sets by Alex Syberia, called Summer Bouquet for my card.

I printed the image on a watercolor paper after I reduced the opacity to do no line coloring. I then colored the image using Karin brush markers. I wanted to keep the card clean, so I decided not to color the background. After the panel was dry I mounted it on a creme cardbase.

The sentiment is also from Alex’s digital sentiment set called Summer Sentiment. I printed it in black, matted it with a strip of yellow cardsotck and foam mounted it on the card. I scattered some clear iridescent sequins and the card was finished!

That’s it from me! Hope I was able to inspire you to play along 🙂 ! Please don’t forget that a floral image should be the main element of your project!

On The Flower Challenge blog you can get more inspiration from my lovely team mates and our guest designer Mac Mable!

Thank you so much for looking!

Have a crafty day, friends!

Hugs,

TaeEun

  1. This is an absolute work of art TaeEun using Alex’s gorgeous digital image. I love the beautiful colours of the full blown roses and sweet little yellow flowers, and of course all the wonderful tones of green you have managed to use for the different leaves, and it looks perfect just against the white background. x

  2. This is a beautiful card and beautiful coloring!
I have a question for you. I purchased the Neon Karin marker set but I didn’t think it worked well for water coloring. But here you’ve made a beautiful effect. What’s your opinion about Karin markers and water coloring? When I look at the product description, it says they are dye-based markers.

  3. Oh TaeEun, I apologize for not coming here to comment on your gorgeous card, I’ve been feeling somewhat down with this situation we’re living here in the US, I don’t see an end in sight, especially because of this administration failure in handling this virus and the social unrest on our streets.
But I must say my dear, that I’m always in awe and bewilderment when I see your cards, I want to say to you that I study them, I look at them carefully, trying to absorb all the beautiful details on your images whether you color with pencils or markers or watercolors.
I’ve said it before, that I’ve met the most extraordinary artists through this card making hobby, fabulous people that share their talents with all of us.
Thank you so much for sharing yours.
    Stay healthy and safe.
    Hugs.
    Maria.
