Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh. Studio September 2020 Holiday Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from my amazing team mate Natasha Valkovskaya’s blog, you’re right on track. If you are lost on the way or want to start over from the beginning of the hop, please head on over to Pinkfresh Studio blog

Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating the holiday stamp and die release with amazing fellow crafters in this blog hop! There are tons of inspiration projects along the way showcasing the unique and gorgeous new stamp and die designs!

I’ve made four cards to share with you for this blog hop.

The first two cards are showcasing Ornate Poinsettia die. I used two different coloring mediums for these card to show the versatility of this set.

Let’s take a closer look!

For the first card I’ve created a watercolor washed panel using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors in Clementine and Candy Apple. I colored the panel using wet on wet technique and concentrated the colors in the areas where the center of the poinsettias would be placed.

I splattered white opaque ink on the colored panel. After the panel was dry I adhered it on a white cardbase.

op-1-4-2

I cut the Ornate Poinsettia three times from some heavyweight white cardstock and stacked them all together and glued it on the colored panel.

I picked a sentiment from Sleigh Bells Ring stamp set and silver heat embossed it on some vellum. To make an ornament I used the Inverted Stitched Scallop Circles die. I cut the inverted scalloped circle from silver glitter paper and backed it with a same circle frame which was cut from some thick white cardstock. The vellum with the sentiment was cut using the same circle die and adhered on the back of the circle frame. The ornament was added to the card with a thin silver glitter paper as a string. I finished off the card with a red bow and a clear Jewel on the top of the ornament.

op-1-3-2

For the second card I colored the poinsettias using Copic markers.

To start off I cut the Ornate Poinsettia three times. I glued the first layer on a Neenah solar white panel and colored the petals and leaves using Copic markers.

The colors I used are below.

Teal poinsettia: BG000/ 02/ 07/ 09

Violet poinsettia: B63/ 66/ 79

Leaves: YG 01/ 25/ 09

op-2-4-2

I colored the leaves of the second cut in YG 01 and adhered it on the top of the first layer. To make the background yellow I colored the negative pieces in Y08 and put them back to their places.

I then colored the outlines of the poinsettia of the third die cut Ornate Poinsettia in the lightest colors which I used for the petals, cut off the leafy parts and adhered it on the second layer.

op-2-5-2

The sentiment was cut using the Phrase Builder: Happy Holiday die set. The sentiment was cut from a silver glitter paper and raised with three layers of white die cut sentiments. I cut the shadow in white and added the sentiment onto it. I finished off the card with some yellow Crystals

op-2-3-2

The next card is featuring the cute Sleigh Bells Ring stamp set.

I started off by stamping the sleigh in Berrylicious and the critters in Detail Black. I first cut the paper using the coordinating die before stamping so that I could line up the images right.

As the background I chose a fun patterned paper from Oh, What Fun 6×6 paper pack, cut it with the Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die and made the aperture using a die from Inverted Stitched Scallop Circles die set

sbr-4-2

I masked the border of a gray cardbase and ink blended the bottom area of the part, where the aperture would be, slightly in Lavender. I splattered white opaque ink on it and let it dry.

After the cardbase was prepared and dry, I foam mounted the background panel and the stamped critters on the sleigh. The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Lavender, cut using the coordinating die and added to the card on a nest of silver thread. I decorated the sleigh and the background with some Jewels.

sbr-3-2

The last card is showing the Tree Trimming Friends and Our Home to Yours stamp sets. I’ve created a scene using them.

I started by making the background scene. I cut two hills using the coordinating die of the Skiing by stamp set. I ink blended the bottom of the lowest hill in Soft Lilac, the next hill in Ocean Breeze and the cardbase over the second hill in Coral Reef and Misty Coast. I white heat embossed the trees from Our Home to Yours stamp set on the hills and splattered white ink on all the background panels.

ttf-4-2

I stamped the houses in Rocky Slope, Coral Reef, Summer Shower and Lavender and cut them using the coordinating dies. The cute critters from the Tree Trimming Friends stamp set was stamped in Detail Black ink and colored using Copic markers and a white gel pen in a simple way. The tree was stamped in Mint and Emerald City and the lights were heat embossed in silver. I colored the light bulbs in various neon gel pens. I cut all the images using the coordinating dies

ttf-2-4

I stamped the sentiment from Our Home to Yours stamp set on the bottom of the lowest hill in Lavender and clear heat embossed it.

Next I assembled the card. The hills were foam mounted on the cardbase and the houses were added. I placed the Christmas tree in the center of the card and three critters around it. I added some sparkle on the tree using the Crystal Stickles and the card was finished.
