Today is again Seize the Birthday Thursday, BUT this time it is a very special one!
Seize the Birthday is celebrating its 200th challenge. We are so grateful to all of you that have helped us reach this milestone. So for this challenge, we are offering 2 Twenty-Five Dollar Simon Says Gift Certificates to both of our Top Winners.
And to add to the fun… we have 4 Mystery Design Team Members that have prizes up for grabs on their blogs. However, the requirement to win ANY of those prizes is, you must go to ALL of the Design Team’s blog and leave each one of them some love! We all need a little love in our lives these days.
For this challenge we want you to make a card and/or project that is inspired by the graphic below. Whether it be the colors, the balloons, the watercolor vibe, or the numbers etc… Whatever sparks your creativity. However for this challenge only, we are asking you to explain in your post how exactly you were inspired!
*We are not having an option of Anything Goes for this challenge!
I was inspired by the bright and vibrant colors of our banner! I used Beautiful Flowers Slimline card panel digital stamp by Alex Syberia design to show off the pretty colors.
I overlapped two of the Beautiful Flowers Slimline card panel digital stamp images so that the array of the flowers is coming in from a corner and reaches to the opposite corner. I colored the image using Ecoline liquid watercolor. The colors I used are Light Rose, Magenta, Blue Violet, Pastel Blue, Turquoise Blue, Ultramarine Deep and Grass Green.
I added some shade around the image with cool gray colored pencils and cut the panel using the Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die by Pinkfresh Studio. I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Heart (30-550) set by Penny Black in a black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it.
The front panel was foam mounted on a white slimline cardbase. I scattered a few clear iridescent sequins on it to finish off the card.
That’s it from my side! Now it’s your turn to be crafty and play along 🙂 !
Have a happy day!
