Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio October 2020 Slimline Stamp, Die and Stencil Release Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from Seeka’s blog, you’re right on track. If you are lost on the way or want to start over from the beginning of the hop, please head on over to Pinkfresh Studio blog

Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating the new slimline release with amazing fellow crafters in this blog hop! There are tons of inspiration projects along the way showcasing the innovative and gorgeous slimline stamps with coordinating stencils and dies and standalone slimline stencils!

I’ve made three cards to share with you for this blog hop. Without further ado let’s get started!

My first two cards are featuring Double Chevron Layering Stencil and Incredibly Grateful stamp, die and stencil sets. For the first card I used the simple chevron stencil from the Double Chevron Layering Stencil set.

For stenciling I used Key Lime, Sunshine, Lavender , Seaside and Sparkling Rose. I stenciled again after rotating the chevron stencil to make the pattern. After the stenciling was done I cut the panel using the Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die.

I gold heat embossed the floral frame image from Incredibly Grateful set on a white cardstock and added colors to it using the coordinating stencils. The colors I used are Stargazer, Seaside, Clementine and Coral Reef. I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

Due to the length and intricacy of that stamp set, it can be just a *bit* tricky to work with – so here is a little trick that will help. If you start off by die cutting the outer die first, then line up the stamp image in the negative space of the die in your stamping platform, then stamp the image, it helps keep it straight so it matches up correctly to the die cut and the stencils.

To work with this large stamp it could be helpful using a Memory MISTI.

To stamp the sentiment I cut a vellum in a rectangle which fits inside of the floral frame and gold heat embossed the sentiment from Floral Cluster stamp set on it. To add the sentiment from the Incredibly Grateful set I cut the background panel using a Fancy Label Frames die and stamped the sentiment on it in Detail black ink. I also cut one larger frame from some white cardstock to use as a mat.

dc-2-2-2

I foam mounted the background panel on a white slimline cardbase, adhered the vellum piece with the sentiment on it and added the floral frame using some foam tape on it. The label with the sentiment was then adhered to the frame. I added a sweet bow which was cut using the Artistic Bows die and ink blended in Sparkling Rose. To finish off the card I scattered some purple and green Jewels.

On the next card I cut the floral frame of the Incredibly Grateful set in two pieces and made a shaker card.

This time I used the double chevron stencil from the Double Chevron Layering Stencil. For ink blending I used the same colors I chose for the first card plus Sapphire. After the. stenciling was done I cut the panel using two dies from Slim Stitched Rectangles die set so that I have a frame and a center panel.

dc-1-4x-2

The floral frame of the Incredibly Grateful set was stamped in Stargazer on some watercolor paper. I clear heat embossed the image for watercoloring. I colored the flowers in Clementine and Bubble Gum and the leaves in Key Lime and Emerald City Pinkfresh Studio Liquid watercolors. I cut it using the coordinating die and cut it in two pieces as shown in the picture. I adhered them on the back of the frame I cut from the background panel and closed the windows with clear acetate sheets to make the shaker card.

dc-1-2-2

I stamped the sentiments from the Incredibly Grateful set on the background panel where the shaker parts would be placed. I used Lavender and Sapphire to stamp each sentiment. I adhered some Jewels around the sentiments.

I then assembled the shaker card using some pink and blue-green beads as shaker elements. I embellished the card with a blue bow cut with Artistic Bows die which was ink blended in Seaside.

The last card for today is showcasing Gradiating Stripes stencil and You are Amazing stamp and stencil sets.

I stenciled a white slimline sized panel in yellow to green gradation using the Gradiating Stripes stencil in Sunshine, Fresh Pear, Key Lime, Olive and Evergreen. I then cut the panel using Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die and foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase.

The leafy background image from You are Amazing set was gold heat embossed on some vellum. I colored the leaves on the back of the vellum using the coordinating stencils in blue and green. I used Key Lime, Olive, Aquamarine, Seaside and Sapphire. I cut it using the largest die from Slim Ornate Banner die set and adhered it on the background panel. The frame was also cut using the Slim Ornate Banner die set from some white cardstock. I ink blended it in Sunshine and Sweet Mustard for an ombre effect. I added it to the vellum layer using some foam tape.

The sentiment is also from You are Amazing stamp set. I stamped it on a tag in Gathered Twigs which was cut using the Fillable Tag with Pocket die set. I added the tag with some floral Ephemera pieces from Days of Splendor collection.
