Hello and Welcome to The Ton October 2020 Release!

14 New Standalone Dies and 2 New Stamps and Coordinating Dies are debuting today, including lots of goodies for your holiday creations, alpha dies and other unique standalone dies along with floral stamps!

* All new products are now available except for the Poppy Smiles Coordinating Die which will ship around 10/13.

I made three cards using some of the new items! Without further ado let’s get started!

My first card is watercolored floral card featuring Poppy Smiles stamp set.

For this card I used the digital version of the stamp design, as I didn’t get the stamp in time. I printed the image in light brown to do some no line coloring. I colored the image using Karin brush markers. After the coloring was done I splattered blue, red and white ink on it and let it dry.

After the panel was dry I cut it using the Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested die and mounted it flat on a white cardbase. The sentiment from the Easy Exprssions : Thanks set was from my stash. The scrypty part was heat embossed in Liquid Platinum and the rest in white. I cut the sentiment using the coordinating die.

I finished off the card with some Glass Slippers sequins.

My next card is made with lots of dies – Fall Leaves Layered Dies, Bold Alphas Upper Dies, Many Sentiments die.

I started off by cutting the leaves using Fall Leaves Layered Dies form some white cardstock. This die set has two coverplate dies, one for the base layer with stitched details and one for the vein layer. I cut both layers for all the leaves and assembled them.

I arranged the leaves on a white cardbase and ink blended it in Soft Garden, Beach Blondie and Peach Blossom. After that I splattered gold ink on the panel and let it dry.

To cut the sentiment I watercolored a watercolor paper in green, reddish brown and gold. I then cut the letters for “FALL” using the Bold Alphas Upper Dies from the panel. I splattered gold ink on the letters and let it dry. I then foam mounted the letters on the card. “hello” was cut using Many Sentiments die from white cardstock and gold foil cardstock. I layered them together and added it on the letter A.

To finish off I scattered the sequins from Cinderella’s Ride couture mix which are in the matching colors with my card πŸ™‚!

The last card is a holiday card. Here I used two holiday themed die sets from this release; Merry Christmas Die and Holiday Border Dies.

mc-1-wm

Holiday Border Dies has seven designs. I cut upper and bottom part of a dark red A2 sized panel using a border die with pine trees. Then I dry embossed the middle part using the border die with reindeers and two simple border dies. I splattered white opaque ink on it and set it aside to dry.

Merry Christmas was cut three times from some heavyweight white cardstock and once from a panel on which I adhered the Adhesive Glossy Fine transparent glitter paper. I stacked them all together.

On a white cardbase I ink blended the area, where the pine trees are, in Soft Garden and Bright Fern. I also adhered a strip of Adhesive Glossy Fine transparent glitter paper to add sparkle. After that I adhered the red panel and the Merry Christmas die cut sentiment on it.

To add more Christmas feel to my holiday card I used small elements from Winter Foliage and Berry Branches stamp set.

The inks used are Soft Garden, Bright Fern, Caribbean Turquoise, Ocean Teal, Ballet Slippers, Cosmopolitan pink, Lipstick Red and Pink Derby.

  1. I LOVE your first card!! Your coloring is awesome. I bought the Karin markers and I found them a little difficult to work with. I keep trying though. Your card shows what magnificent cards you can make with them. Your other cards are spendid as well!! I love this release!!
