Hello and happy Friday!!! Today The Ton has a Winter Flash Die Release!
I started off by ink blending a white Neenah solar white panel in Lipstick Red and Plum Wine keeping an area in the middle bright. I cut the inner part for the Christmas Mug from that panel. The outline of the mug was cut from a dark red cardstock.
The whipped creme was cut from some white cardstock. I added light pink on the base layer in Hollywood Star and ink blended also the top layer very lightly in the same color.
I cut a scalloped panel from a gray cardstock and added white pigment ink on the center part of it. I made a DIY stencil for the steam and added white ink through it on the top part of the panel. I splattered white opaque ink on it and let it dry.
I foam mounted the gray layer on a white cardbase and adhered the mug with the whipped creme using some foam tape on it. The sentiment was cut using the Many Sentiments Holiday coverplate die, three times from some white cardstock and once from a piece of white cardstock on which I adhered the Glossy fine silver adhesive glitter paper. I stacked them all and added it to the cup.
I cut the base of the twist & pop mechanism from a heavyweight white cardstock and the pop-up panel from some gray cardstock. I ink blended the lower part of it in white after masking the upper part with a torn paper. I splattered white ink on it and let it dry. The sentiment from Winter Foliage was stamped in Noir.
To cut the Winter Mittens I first ink blended a white panel in Hollywood Star and Plum Wine. The base layer and the string were cut from some pink cardstcok. I added a bit of Hollywood Star on the tip of the mittens and adhered the top layer on it. The white stars are from Frosted Spearmint Couture Mix.
I assembled the twist & pop mechanism together using strong adhesive double sided tape.
Below is a short video showing how the twist & pop works. My daughter helped me 🙂 .
It was fun to make an interactive card. Hope you enjoyed looking my card 🙂 !
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a happy day!
