Happy New Year, my crafty friends! Hope you’re all doing well !

How about starting the new year with a Flower Challenge 🙂 ! Our first challenge this year is all about EMBOSSING !!!

I actually did both dry and heat embossing. But dry version is hard to see.

I used some stencil sets by Pinkfresh Studio to create my DT card.

I stenciled the floral image using Seamless Floral Panel layered stencil set. It has 5 stencils, three for flowers and two for the leaves. I heat embossed the third flower stencil image in gold.

I stenciled the first flower layer in Apricot and I inked the center of the flowers in Clementine to make the area a bit darker. The second flower stencil was inked in Coral Reef. The leaves were inked in Warm Buff and Doe. Lastly I stenciled the third floral layer using an embossing ink and heat embossed it in gold. I then dry embossed the panel with the first stencil. I cut one side of the panel using the Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die and fussy cut the opposite side.

The pink-orange stripes of the left part of the white cardbase were also stenciled using the Diagonal Stripe Stencil in Coral Reef and Clementine. I foam mounted the front panel on it showing a bit of the stripes on the left side.

The sentiment “hello” was cut using Phrase Builder: Hello die three times from some white cardstock and once from gold foil cardstock. I layered them together and added it to the card. I white heat embossed a sentiment from Simply Sentiments: Hello set on a strip of brown cardstock.

I finished off the card with a few creme Jewels.

  1. I adore the colours you have used with the stencilled flowers, such pretty shades of pink and brown and the amber is gorgeous, and the stencilled stripes are so pretty too. I also love the collage of four of your DT cards which is beautiful and shows different aspects of your cardmaking. If I was trying to choose four of your cards I would find it impossible as every card is a winner in my book. x

  2. WOW!! I love the colours, with the gold embossing of the bits of leaves and flowers. I can’t believe you fussy cut that! It looks so perfect the spacing and everything, I would have thought it was a die! Such an amazing card! Makes me want to get the stencil set so I can try and duplicate this card!

  3. TaeEun, I love the beautiful colors you chose for your stenciled flowers and gold embossing the details on them is simply amazing.
The faceted jewels and the gold sentiment finish this card beautifully.
    Stay healthy and safe.
    Hugs.
    Maria.

  4. This is a WOW! card TaeEun! First, gorgeous colour combination for your beautiful layered flowers and the striped edging. Love that you’ve used the two stenciled patterns together. The gold embossing for the last layer of the flower stencils is just perfect to add some shimmer and shine. xx

  5. Such a beautiful card Tae Eun, these stencils are just amazing, and the colours used made them perfect. Love the heat embossed finish to the flowers
