The Ton 6th Anniversary Release Instagram Hop

Hello and welcome to the first day of The Ton’s 6th Anniversary Release Instagram Hop! 
Of course the Instagram hop is running on Instagram 🙂 ! You can hop along there and leave comments for a chance to win the prize. I just wanted to share my card with my crafty friends, who aren’t familiar with Instagram. 

Have you checked out the debut post last Friday? We introduced seven new stamps with coordinating dies and four standalone die sets. If you missed the post here is the link!

For today’s hop I used three new grouped layering stamp sets: Ditsy Bits, Eucalyptus and Fancy Foliage. I arranged a floral cluster using them and two large roses from Regal Rose and Rose Labels stamp set. And I die cut the watercolored background panel with the Quilted coverplate slimline die to add more interest.

First I stamped all the images and cut them out using the coordinating dies.

The colors I used are listed below

• Regal Rose (purple): Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms, Grape Crush
• Rose Labels (yellow): Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine, Found Topaz
• Ditsy Bits: Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine, Soft Garden
• Eucalyptus: Warm Hazelnut, Found Topaz, Aspen Cocoa
• Fancy Foliage: Soft Garden, Bright Fern

To create the background I first watercolored a slimline sized watercolor paper panel in gold, purple and yellow Gansai Tambi watercolor and splattered gold watercolor on it. After the panel was dry I cut it using the Quilted coverplate slimline die and foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase.

The arranged floral cluster was then added to the background. I adhered the roses using foam tape for some dimension. The sentiment is from Fancy Foliage set. I finished off the card with a few Medallion Gold sequins
