Hello everyone ! Hope you’re having a great week so far! And I hope my friends in the US are staying warm and safe!

I’m popping in to share four new cards I made using some beauties from Love & Happiness Release by Penny Black. I know it’s late for Valentine’s day but who wouldn’t love to get some cards made with lots of LOVE ❤️ !

My first card is showing a lovely bouquet image from a mini stamp set called …Fresh Flowers (30-795) and I used Hexagon Frames die set (51-640) from this release to create the background.

I stamped the …Fresh Flowers (30-795) image in Antique Linen DI on Bristol smooth paper and colored it using Karin brush markers. I chose purple and pink to color my flowers and kraft paper to wrap the bouquet.

After the coloring was done and dry I cut the panel using two dies from the Hexagon Frames die set (51-640) and stamped the sentiment from Love Quotes set (30-792) directly on the colored panel in black.

To add some texture to my background I dry embossed a watercolor patterned paper with the whole Hexagon Frames die set (51-640) several times. I mounted the background panel flat on a white cardbase. I foam mounted the hexagon panel with the bouquet on it and added two hexagon frames to the card as shown in the picture. To finish off I scattered some purple rhinestones and a red one on the pink tie of the bouquet.

The second card is showcasing the Rose Dance cling stamp (40-678). I focused on coloring on the beautiful image and made a one layer card.

I started off by doing some watercolor wash on a Canson watercolor paper panel in yellow green and pink. While I was doing it I kept it in mind where I wanted to stamp the image so that pink goes onto the area where the large blooms would be. After the panel was dry I stamped the Rose Dance (40-678) image in black on the panel and colored it using Karin brush markers. I colored the flowers in pink, orange and yellow tone.

After the coloring was done I ink blended three corners of the panel in Picked Raspberry DI to add more pink to the panel and splattered white ink on the whole panel. The sentiment from Love Quotes set (30-792) was then stamped in black. The card looked a bit too flat so I decided to add a dry embossed frame using the Swirly Stitches die (51-502).

Next I want to show you a cute bear with a huge rose bouquet. This stamp is called Roses for You (30-787).

I stamped the bear on a piece of watercolor paper in black pigment ink and colored it with Zig and Karin brush markers. I like the blush and brown color from Zig 🙂 ! I fussy cut the bear, made his nose and eye more shiny with a black glaze pen and added some white highlights on the roses using a white gel pen.

To create the background I watercolored the bottom part of a panel in green shades and an extra piece of watercolor paper in green. I cut Hexagon Frames (51-640) from the green paper.

The background panel was mounted flat on a white cardbase and also the three green hexagons. I white heat embossed the sentiment from Love Quotes set (30-792) on a small hexagon piece and added it to the card using foam tape after I adhered two thin strips of kraft paper. Lastly the bear was placed and some clear sequins finished off my card.

The last card is a shaker card featuring Blooms (30-679) set.

I stamped the flowers in a vase on a kraft paper in Antique Linen DI and colored it using Prismacolor colored pencils. I fussy cut it and set it aside and started making the shaker part.

I cut a kraft cardstock with two Hexagon Frames (51-640) dies and the largest Leaf Stitched Frames die (51-552). I colored the center hexagon with Prismacolor pencils in purple, pink, light blue and white, silver heat embossed the sentiment from …Fresh Flowers (30-795) set on it and adhered it on the center of a kraft cardbase.

I cut hexagon frames also from some white cardstock and made the shaker window and the wall. I finished the shaker part by adding some floral, white, pink and silver sequins and foam mounted the negative piece with the leaf stitch on the card.

The flowers was then placed on the shaker window.

  1. You could not have painted these more perfectly, TaeEun! Loving those Karin markers – in your hands anything works just he way they’d want them to!

  2. Four absolute beauties TaeEun and love the designs and the colours with beautiful colouring as always. I love the bouquet on the first with the wonderful mat and frame, and a twisted frame behind and love the dies used to emboss the background. The second is stunning with the coloured roses and the watercoloured and blended coordinating inks in the background. The bear with his bouquet is so cute and more overlapping frames which look great in the background, and then the wonderful shaker card to finish, with some added flowers and love the ornate die cut edge to the mat using kraft card . x
