Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio February 2021 Stamp, Stencil and Die Release Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from Nichol Spohr’s blog, you’re right on track. If you are lost on the way or want to start over from the beginning of the hop, please head on over to Pinkfresh Studio blog

Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating February 2021 Stamp, Stencil and Die Release with design team members and amazing guests! Many floral designs in their coordinating stamp, die and stencils are debuting today along with some fabulous standalone dies and sentiment sets! As always they are so unique and versatile ! I especially love the floral stamps with an outline image and coordinating stencils. There are so many things you could do using them!

I have three cards to share with you today. For the first two cards I chose two beautiful floral stamps. When I saw the floral designs, I couldn’t wait to color them. Because it’s been so long since I gave my colored pencils some love, I wanted to do pencil coloring for this release.

I stamped the outline and stenciled them first using the coordinating stencils and added details using colored pencils. The stenciling does the first base layer for me which made the pencil coloring much easier and faster! The detailed layer of the stencils was the perfect guide to add details! Let’s take a look at my cards!

My first card is featuring Choose Hope stamp, die and layering stencil sets along with the beautiful Curvy Leaves die.

To begin, I stamped the Choose Hope image in Detail Black ink and added colors using the layering stencils. For the large flower I used Coral Reef and Passion Fruit, the purple flowers were stenciled in Soft Lilac and Lavender and the leaves in Ocean Breeze and Aquamarine. After the stenciling was completed, I added details with my Prismacolor colored pencils in the same colors I chose for stenciling. I followed the detail layer of the stencils while adding highlights and shadows with colored pencils. After coloring was done I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

I colored a watercolor paper panel in Bubble Gum, Lavender and Sky Blue Liquid watercolors using smooshing technique. I applied the liquid watercolor on an acetate sheet, spritzed with clear water and pressed the watercolor paper on it. I repeated the precess until I was happy with the result and let the panel dry.

I stamped the sentiment “Hoping” from the Choose Hope stamp set in Detail Black ink on the background panel. To add some sparkle and texture to the background I stenciled the background panel using clear glitter paste and Diamond Motif stencil. I covered the sentiment with a piece of scrap paper while stenciling.

I foam mounted the background panel on a white cardbase and added several white Curvy Leaves to it. The floral cluster was then foam mounted on it as shown in the picture. I stamped the sentiment also on my floral image aligning it with the sentiment in the background. Lastly I added the black sentiment strip and some clear Jewels.

Next card is showcasing Infinite Blooms stamp, die and layering stencil sets along with the Slimline Layered Starburst stencil and Mini Tags with Fillable Words die set.

This time I stamped the image of the Infinite Blooms stamp in Peach Fuzz to do no line coloring. Like the previous card I first stenciled the image using the Infinite Blooms layering stencil set. I stenciled the yellow flowers in Sunshine and Marigold, the violet flowers in Soft Lilac and Slumber and the tiny flowers in Sky Blue. The leaves were stenciled in Fresh Pear and Grassy Knoll. To add details I used Polychromos colored pencils following the detail layer of the stenciled image. After the coloring was done I cut the Infinite Blooms using the coordinating die and set it aside.

To create the background I started by stenciling a slimline sized white panel using Slimline Layered Starburst stencil. I stenciled the upper part in yellow using Lemon Whip and Peach Fuzz, and the bottom part in purple using Ballet Slipper and Soft Lilac. Before I stenciled the third layer I cut the panel using the largest die from Slim Ornate Banner die set. I then applied some clear glitter paste through the third stencil of the Slimline Layered Starburst on the panel. After the banner panel was dry I adhered it on a white slimline cardbase and foam mounted a frame on it that was cut using the Slim Ornate Banner die. The Infinite Blooms image was added to the card as shown in the picture.

The sentiment from Infinite Blooms set was stamped in Stargazer on a piece of white cardstock. I cut it using the fishtail tag die from Mini Tags with Fillable Words die set. I matted it with another fishtail tag which I colored in purple using colored pencils and added it to the card with some silver thread. To finish off I scattered some Enamel Dots from My Favorite Story collection.

The last card for today is showing the Folk Floral Print Layering Stencil. For the sentiment I used one of the new sentiment sets called Simply Sentiments Thank You stmap and Sentiment Suite: Thank You die.

I stenciled the Folk Floral Print Layering Stencil in Apricot, Grassy Knoll, Storm, Summer Shower and Rocky Slope. I chose bright colors for the folk art pattern 🙂 ! But there are so many color combos I want to try with this set!

To add sparkle to this card as well I applied the clear glitter paste on the layer that I stenciled in Rocky Slope. The panel was mounted flat on a white cardbase and I foam mounted a white Fancy Oval frame on it. The sentiment from Simply Sentiments Thank You set was white heat embossed on a dark navy cardstock and cut with the shadow die from Sentiment Suite: Thank You die. The thin sentiment was stamped in Stargazer.

I embellished the sentiment with some Curvy Leaves which was ink blended in Grassy Knoll. Some light green Crystals were my finishing touch.
