Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start!

It’s time for a reminder post for the latest Flower Challenge! Our theme for February is “Use your Latest Stamps or Dies! As always you should use floral images that are stamped or colored by you as the main element for your projects!

For today I have two cards to share which are featuring the Friendship Blooms stamp, stencil and die sets by Pinkfresh Studio! After stenciling with the coordinating stencil I colored the flowers using Polychromos colored pencils to add more details!

I stamped all the images several times in Detail Black ink on Neenah Solar white cardstock and stenciled the images. The coral flowers were stenciled in Coral Reef and Passion Fruit, the purple flowers in Soft Lilac and Candy Violet and for the leaves I used Slumber and Blue Jay. The stencils for the flowers are in three layers. I used the darker color for both second and third layer making the third layer intensiver.

After that I colored the images using Polychromos colored pencils. As the stenciled images already look gorgeous, I had to add only some details like folds of the petals and the darkest shades to give the images a more 3D-like look. I then cut all the images using the coordinating dies and set them aside.

For the first card I made a watercolored background. I chose a blue color like the leaves and watercolored a Canson Mix Media paper panel and splattered gold ink on it. After the panel was dry I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Detail Black ink.

The flowers were arranged as shown in the picture using foam tape. I finished off the card with some gold sequins.

As the background for the second card I chose a clean one. I dry embossed the front side of the white cardbase with the Simply Diamond die. And I cut the sweet Leafy Circle four times from white cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things to Say 2 stamp set on one of the inner pieces of the Leafy Circles in Detail Black. I added the Leafy Circles onto the cardbase, some of them using foam tape and arranged the floral cluster. I added three light blue enamel dots from the Home for the Holidays Collection and the card was done!

Have a wonderful week!

  1. I love the group of prettily coloured flowers on the first with the coordinated blue watercolour background, and the four die cut leafy circles with the dry embossed diamond pattern on the background work beautifully, and love that you inset the centre of one of them to stamp the lovely sentiment on to. I love them both TaeEun but maybe the second one a little more. x

  2. Gorgeous cards TaeEun! Your watercolouring is always so awe-inspiring. I love that you’ve used blue for the leaves on these. The addition of the texture in the background of your second card is amazing. Wonderful designs. xx
