Hello friends! It’s time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge!

Our theme for this month is “Use Your Latest Stamps or Dies” .

I used Wild Blooms set and Ribbons Affirmations set from The Ton’s Anniversary Release. As the backdrop for my flowers I used an older die called Foliage Border coverplate die, also from The Ton.

To start I heat embossed the flowers from Wild Blooms set in rose gold and the leaves from Wild Blooms and the outline branch image from the Fancy Foliage set in gold on some watercolor paper. I watercolored the flowers in coral shade using yellow, orange and pink Karin brush markers and the leaves in Finetec gold watercolor. I cut them all using the coordinating dies and set them aside.

To create the background first I did watercolor wash on a A2 watercolor paper panel in yellow, orange and gold. After the panel was dry I ink blended the border of the panel in Peach Blossom and cut the panel with Foliage Border coverplate die.

I adhered the Foliage Border on a dark brown cardbase and arranged the floral cluster on it. I then splattered white opaque ink all over the card and let it ry.

The sentiment is from Ribbons Affirmations set. I gold heat embossed one layer and stamped the other in Aspen Cocoa and cut it using the coordinating die. The sentiment “YOU ARE” is also from the same stamp set. I stamped it in Aspen Cocoa on a scrap piece I had from the die cut background, cut it in a strip and added it to my card. I finished off the card with some Medallion Gold sequins.

  1. WOW … your card is AMAZING Tae-Eun! I LOVE all your layers … the coverplate of watercolour leaves looks so beautiful against the brown card. Your watercoloured flowers and leaves are gorgeous – what amazing colours you’ve used. And the gold frame with the two-tone die-cut sentiment is fantastic. xx

  2. TaeEun, the first time I saw your card, the colors just grabbed me, so rich and so gorgeous!!
All the layers of color and detail on your background just make your flowers more alive, I love the splatter and the fantabulous sentiment, I went to take a look-see and this set is awesome.
    Beautifully done.
    Stay healthy and safe.
    XO
