Hello everyone!
I’ve been playing with alcohol inks and have a couple of cards to share with you today!
Floral Focus is an overall floral image cling stamp in A2 size , designed by so talented Emily Midgett for Pinkfresh Studio. It has large blooms and as I first saw the design I already had a plan to color the beautiful flowers using alcohol inks!
I finished two alcohol inked panels. I cut a rectangle from one of them and made two cards by switching the parts with the parts of a white panel with gold heat embossed image. I wasn’t quite happy with the other alcohol inked panel. So I decided to cut out a flower from it and use it for one of the cards I was making.
To create the alcohol inked panel I first colored a A2 sized Alcohol ink cardstock in Flamingo, Shell Pink and Honeycomb alcohol inks. I blended the alcohol inks with lots of rubbing alcohol to get light color wash. After the panel was dry I gold heat embossed the Floral Focus on the panel and colored the flowers in the same colors I used for the background and also Raspberry for more vibrant pink. I also gold heat embossed the Floral Focus on a white cardstock panel.
I cut a rectangle from the alcohol inked panel and from the white panel using a die from Stitched Rectangles die set and switched the frames and rectangles from both panels.
For the first card I adhered the central rectangle from the white panel on a white cardbase. To soften the gold heat embossed image I covered it with a piece of vellum and foam mounted the frame from the alcohol inked panel on it.
I then added a flower that was cut out from the second alcohol inked panel and some white Curvy Leaves to the card. The gold hot foiled sentiment was made using Best Wishes Hot Foil Plate and die. To finish off I adhered a few pink Jewels on the card and covered the center of the flower with gold glitter Nuvo Drop.
To create the second card I inlaid the center rectangle from the alcohol inked panel in the white rectangle frame and adhered them on a white cardbase.
I then foam mounted the gold hot foiled Thank You So Much sentiment on the card and added some white enamel dots from Home for the Holidays collection.
Which one do you like more? I can’t say which one I like more but I had lots of fun making them 🙂 !
Thank you so much for looking!
Have a great day ❤️ !

Two fabulous looks using alcohol inks TaeEun and love the gold embossed panel with the added AI panel lined up over the top and a beautiful large die cut sentiment, and then one of the large flowers coloured with the pretty pink tones taken from the AI panel and placed over the aperture left by the cutaway piece…a great idea to mix and match and the added vellum over the white/gold embossed floral background gives it a totally different look, and finished with another beautiful die cut sentiment. x
Absolutely gorgeous! I love that hot pink! Stunning!
