Hello everyone!

How are you doing? Finally it was sunny and Spring-like here recently. We had beautiful sunny days in the weeks from end of February to March before the winter came back. And it didn’t want to go. It’s so good to take a walk in the afternoon sun again.

Now to my card! This is featuring Folk Garden Hot Foil plate, stamp, layering stencil and die sets from the latest Release by Pinkfresh Studio.

I started with the background panel. I hot foiled the Folk Garden on a silver cardbstock panel in icicle foil. The hot foiling has an additional effect of dry embossing so that the panel gets nice texture.

I stamped the Folk Garden in white pigment ink on a gray cardstock and stenciled the image using the Folk Garden Layering stencil set: the flowers in Lemon Whip and Marigold and the leaves in Sky Blue and Seaside. I then added more color on it with Prismacolor colored pencils. After the coloring was done I white heat embossed the image and cut it with the coordinating die.

I foam mounted the silver background panel on a white cardbase and arranged the die cut images on it as shown in the picture.

I hot foiled the Thank You So Much hot foil plate in silver foil on black cardstock and die cut it using the die. I cut off the “thank you” from the Thank You So Much and added it to the card. I finished off the card with a few yellow Jewels.

  1. The silvers, and greys make me so happy I’m also enjoying the blues, TaeEun! Love the ‘debossed’ look of your base panel! It’s the silver foil that makes me think I might enjoy foiling, but I’m quite content seeing you use it, thank you! xx

  2. What fabulous detail on this beautifully designed card TaeEun and the hot foil plate has given wonderful detail to the background and love the white embossed and stencilled leaves over the top, and a brilliant hot foiled sentiment in silver on black to finish. x
