Hello again!
Today I’m joining Joy Clair Designs A Ray of Sunshine Release Instagram Hop!
Of course to join the Hop you should hop over to Instagram. I’m sharing my cards here for my crafty friends who aren’t familiar with Instagram and to describe the making process details 🙂!
I made two cards for this Instagram Hop, sharing two digital stamp sets from this release! All the items are now available at Joy Clair Designs online shop!
The first one is showcasing the You Make Me Proud digital stamp set.
This set includes three clusters of different flowers and some sentiments. I used two floral images from them to create a floral field. I arranged the flowers as I wanted on Keynote and printed it on Canson watercolor paper panel. I then colored the flowers in bright colors using Karin brush markers. I then ink blended the bottom edge of the panel in Twisted Citron DI and splattered white opaque ink on the panel.
After the panel was dry I trimmed it down a bit and foam mounted it on a light green cardbase.
The sentiment is from Forever Moments digital stamp set. I added the strip of printed sentiment to the card with a thin strip of green glitter paper. For some shine I covered the center of the flowers with yellow Stickles.
The second card is featuring Forever Moments digital stamp set. This set has two floral clusters – one gladiola branch and one cherry blossom (or it could be other flower in the family) branch. I used the gladiola branch.
I printed the gladiola in gray on Canson watercolor paper and colored it using Karin brush markers. I colored the flowers in pink, orange and yellow from top towards bottom and added stripes to the petals for more interest.
After the coloring was done I traced the outline with a silver gel pen to add some shine and fussy cut the right side of the image leaving thin white edge. Before I foam mounted the colored panel on a cardbase, I ink blended the white cardbase in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold and Mustard Seed (from top to bottom) following the color of the flowers.
The sentiment is from the same digital stamp set. I printed it in black and foiled it in Magenta. I cut it in a circle, matted it with another circle panel which is ink blended in Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry before I foam mounted it on the card. I finished off the card with some white iridescent sequins.
