Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

The new challenge at The Flower Challenge is starting today. PRETTY PASTELS is the theme for April. Flowers and pastels fit together, right 🙂 ?

Have you seen my card that I made for the Altenew Celebrating Parents Card Drive Blog Hop ? At that time I actually colored two anemones from the BAF: Anemone set using Altenew Watercolor brush markers. The anemone for today’s card was colored more in purple using Midnight Violet.

After coloring was done I cut all the elements using the coordinating die. I also cut a stem from some watercolor paper. I colored the stem in green and let it dry.

To create the background I first watercolored a A2 sized panel in light pink, light blue and light green. After the panel was dry I cut it using the Fine Frames Cover die. I adhered the center piece of the panel flat on a white cardbase and foam mounted the outer frames.

I adhered the stem on the back of the anemone flower and placed it with three leaves on the center of the card as shown in the picture. The sentiment from the Versatile Vases stamp set was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock and added to the card.

I finished off the card with lots of clear iridescent sequins.
