Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio May Essentials Release blog hop!

If you arrived here from Sidnie Des Jardins’ blog, you’re right on track. If you are lost on the way or want to start over from the beginning of the hop, please head on over to Pinkfresh Studio blog

Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating May Essentials Release with an epic blog hop today! Nine fun Essentials die sets and individual pouches of our beloved Jewels are debuting today! The new Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle and the Mini Slimline Envelope die sets will be a great addition to your slimline collection.

I have two slimline cards to share with you today. I also made matching envelopes using our new die sets and some patterned papers from the paper collections!

The first mini slimline card is showing the Stitched Scallop Circle die set, Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle and Envelope die set. The floral image is from Floral Bunch set.

I started off by stenciling the Floral Bunch image without the outline using Floral Bunch Layering Stencil set. I stenciled the image two times to create a floral background for my card. I used soft colors to make the background look not too busy. For the first layer of the flowers I used Ballet Slippers, Peach Fuzz and Lemon Whip and for the second layer Sparkling Rose, Coral Reef and Sunshine. The small flowers were stenciled in Marigold / Coral Reef and Apricot / Sparkling Rose. I used partially different colors to get flowers in various shades. The leaves were stenciled in Fresh Pear and Grassy Knoll.

After the stenciling was finished I cut three Stitched Scallop Circles from the panel using the smaller die in the set. I took off the circle frames and cut the mini slimline sized rectangle using the stitched rectangle die from the Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle. I foam mounted the negative piece on a 3.25″ x 6.25″ white mini slimline cardbase and added the Stitched Scallop Circles with two layers of foam tapes to their places.

The sentiment from Perfect Sentiments set was white heat embossed on a piece of black cardstock and cut using the coordinating die. I added the sentiment with some little flowers from Wild Flower Sketches set that were stamped in the same colors as the second layer of the flowers in the background.

To finish off the card I scattered some Sunshine Jewels.

The Mini Slimline envelope was cut from a yellow patterned paper from Keeping it Real collection. I cut the back of the envelope from white cardstock and assembled the envelope.

The second card is a slimline card showcasing the Blanket Stitched Oval die set.

I used the Floral Bunch set here as well. This time I white heat embossed the outline image and stenciled using Floral Bunch Layering Stencil set. The large flowers are stenciled in Apricot / Coral Reef and Clementine / Passion Fruit, the small flowers in Soft Lilac and Candy Violet and the leaves in Warm Buff and Doe. I finished two of them and cut them using the coordinating die.

To create the background I first ink blended a white slimline sized panel in Coral Reef and Soft Lilac and cut it with the Slim Stitches die. I mounted the panel flat on a white cardbbase and foam mounted the two Floral Bunch images on it as shown in the picture and cut off the excessive part.

The sentiment from the Floral Bunch set was gold heat embossed on a piece of vellum that I cut using the large Braided Oval die. The white oval frame was cut with the Blanket Stitched Oval dies and adhered on the vellum braided oval panel. I then foam mounted it on the card. I cut the bow using the Artistic Bows die set from white cardstock and embellished the white oval frame with it. For some bling I adhered some Ballet Slipper Jewels on the white oval frame.

For this card I chose a 12″ x 12″ paper from Some Days collection and assembled the Slimline envelope.
