Hello everyone!

I have two more watercolored floral cards to share with you. I hope you’re not tired of my watercolor cards 🙂 !

Today’s flowers are cling stamps from Delight Release by Penny Black. I simply watercolored the images and added the sentiments from Love Quotes set (30-792).

The first one is featuring the hibiscus flower of Florescence cling stamp (40-779).

flo-1-2

I stamped it in Antique Linen and Picked Raspberry (flowers) DI on Canson watercolor paper slightly offset. I then started coloring the flowers. For this image I used mostly Schmincke Watercolors.

flo-4-2

I colored the first layer of the flowers in Rose Madder and added the darker shade in Purple Magenta. The darkest area was colored in Perylene Violet. Lastly I added the fine lines on the petals in Purple Magenta.

The first layer of the leaves were colored in Sap Green and Olive Green and I added the darker shades in Prussian Green. With the yellow stamen the coloring was completed.

flo-2-2

The sentiment is from Love Quotes set (30-792). I stamped it in Versafine Onyx black ink and clear heat embossed it.

flo-3-2

The second card is showing the fuchsia flowers from Captivating (40-774) set.

captivating-1-2

I stamped this image in Antique Linen DI on a Canson watercolor paper and colored it.

captivating-4-2

For the inner petals of the flowers I chose Quinacridone Red and Quinacridone Violet by Winsor & Newton. The pink outer petals were colored in Helios Purple by Sennelier. The red stems and stamens are in Bordeaux by Schmincke.
As the purple watercolors I have are all staining ones, it was so hard to blend, so I used Orchid from Color Burst for the last layer of the purple petals. Maybe it was because of the paper. I still have to learn lots of things about the watercolors. Thanks to Orchid Color Burst I could fix the issue.

captivating-2-2

For the leaves I used Green Gold by Daniel Smith and Prussian Green by Schmincke.

The sentiment is also from the Love Quotes set (30-792). This time I gold heat embossed it.

captivating-3-2

I mentioned the watercolors I used as some of you asked for them. But I can not say which colors from which manufacturer are better than others. I bought the watercolors one by one for a long period of time and am still learning about them.

If you interested in watercolors, I highly recommend Jane Blundell’s blog where you can learn about all the pigments and characters of the watercolors by various companies !

Below are the trio of my watercolored floral cards featuring cling stamps from Delight Release by Penny Black!
I shared the third card made using Companions (40-769) set in one of my previous post 🙂 !
