Today I have a special post. On Instagram there is a special Instagram hop going on celebrating our Friendship with Rachel Vass and sharing some inspiration using Rachel’s digital stamps. She has an Etsy store where you can purchase her beautiful digital stamp designs.
For this event I made a card using Sketchy Rose digital stamp.
I printed the image and the sentiment on Canson watercolor paper panel and watercolored it. For the largest flower I used Rose Madder and Magenta (Schmincke), The right pink flower was colored in Brilliant purple (Schmincke) and Winsor Orange red shade and the purple flower in Quinacridone Violet and Brilliant Red Violet (Schmincke). The yellow flowers are colored in Winsor Yellow and Aussie Red Gold (Daniel Smith) and the orange ones in Pyrrole Orange (QoR). For the leaves I used Cobalt Turquoise and Aqua Green.
I also colored the background in the colors I used for the flowers and leaves and in gray.
After the coloring was done I splattered black ink on the panel mainly in the background and cut the panel with a die from Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested die set by The Ton. I matted it with a black panel and foam mounted it on a gray cardbase.
